Stayed her recently for 2 nights whilst attending a nearby wedding.Situated in a lovely area of Glasgow close to some major attractions and not to far from city centre and not too expensive even if using a taxi. Room was nice with a traditional feel to it and the breakfast was excellent with good varied choices. The owner/host was very...

We read the reviews and booked for two nights despite not believing the price for bed and breakfast. And we still don't really understand the prices, as this guest house fully justifies all the excellent reviews. John is the most helpful of hosts, made us really welcome and we really enjoyed chatting about the area, Glasgow attractions and local restaurants....

Excellent guesthouse in a leafy, residential Glasgow suburb but within easy striking distance of the city centre. Run like a well oiled machine by owner John this guesthouse is a credit to Scottish hospitality. Although only 3 star this place puts many higher rated and much more expensive hotels to shame. Spotlessly clean and cosy with a comfortable resident lounge....

Excellent Guest House - spotless , well managed and very friendly . Nothing was too much trouble . John went out of his way to ensure we could find shops , restaurants etc . We have booked to stay there again.

What a find this is! John runs a tight ship very well here. We stayed 2 nights, in a ground floor room and it's hard to believe the prices and the fact that it's only "three star". Really good quality bedlinen and towels, immaculately clean and John will clearly go to all kinds of lengths to make his guests happy....

We spent two nights at the Glasgow Guest House either side of a family wedding. The location was ideal. There were three generations of us in a small extended family group. The bedrooms were a good size and the beds were comfortable. Our daughter and her little girl had the flat which gave us a useful base for the occasional...

We spent 3 nights at this guest house. John was the perfect host, making us feel at home. Our room was clean, quiet and very comfortable. The location was perfect for us: close to public transportation to get to the city center but far enough to enjoy a quiet and good night sleep. We definitely recommend this guest house when...

Comfortable, modestly priced accommodation in a lovely house in a pleasant part of Glasgow. Good parking. The superb fruit platter option for breakfast is a work of art! The Guest House is away from the centre but this did not affect us as we were visiting our daughter nearby. Bellahouston Park with the 'House for an Artist' & a fine...

Other reviews cover the many strengths of this excellent Guest house. We have been going there for over 20 years and the standards have never dipped. No wonder on our last visit last week most of our fellow guests were regular returnees. John, the owner and James really do care about the welfare of their guests and they go the...

Host John's infectious enthusiasm persisted throughout the stay, providing us the info we needed to get into Glasgow's center, excellent accommodations including room, sitting room and very useful kitchen, and early breakfast and taxi upon departure. Eat one of John's excellent breakfasts, have lunch out, bring simple supper makings home from the Marks and Spencer's food outlet in Glasgow Center...
