We were struggling to find accommodation in St Andrews as it seemed that all the B&B owners were taking holidays. The very helpful staff at the local Tourist Information Office found this room for us at a fairly good rate considering the other options we had available. The B&B's was in a good area, close to the main centre and...

Three couples stayed here in Sept. 2016. This is one of many guest house B&Bs on two block long Murray Park. It may not stand out from the crowd, but it worked OK for us. We got in later than expected and the keys and instructions were waiting for us. The room was average, which is OK for a one...

We called ahead when we found that we would be late in arriving. No problem, the key was tucked away and instructions to our rooms were ready at hand. This older building in the heart of the city is not luxurious but clean and serviceable and convenient to everything of interest. The breakfast was excellent and our hosts knowledgeable. Thanks...

You walk down Murray Park and pass one guest house after another - all rated four stars by the Scotland Tourist Board. Then you come to Arran house - three stars. The guesthouse is clean. The shower is fine. The towels are fine (unlike an earlier review that called them scratchy). The friendly service is outstanding. The owner treated us...

Room booked this morning, by email and0 telephone conversation in car on way and got a call to say that a guest had decided to stay so there wasn't a room for us. Very bad manners. Totally spoilt birthday plans

We had a great stay here, I would venture to guess based on it being St. Andrews you will get a varied response regarding this Bed and Breakfast because of expectations. For us, we are not high end people and we had a wonderful stay including the rooms, breakfast, hospitality, and location. To me, the price was absolutely great given...

Stayed at the beginning of August. Arrived in St Andrews at 18:30 with no booking. Second place I tried was Arran House and dropped very lucky. 5 minutes walk from Old Course 1st Tee. Small Guest House, maybe 6 or 7 rooms. Owners live in and were very friendly and helpful regarding the local area. Breakfast was basically whatever you...

A very enjoyable stay. The owners were very friendly and helpful, and they accommodated us at very short notice after another booking was abruptly cancelled by another guest house. Excellent central location in St. Andrews- convenient for just about everything.

The guest house is on a street packed full of b&bs. Easy to find in the heart of St. Andrews very central close to bars, places to eat and the beach. On street parking available all around the guest house. Warm and friendly owners who were helpful throughout. It is very dated and decor is tired and bit grubby. Good...

I was booked to stay for one night. The main problem was that when I arrived the door was locked. No one answered the door bell. I rang the mobile number on the door. No one answered! I went for a cup of tea. Kept ringing. No answer. So, having totally lost faith I booked another hotel! I eventually contacted...
