We have just returned from a 2 night stay at The Golf Inn. We would thoroughly recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay in St Andrews with fantastic food and wonderful staff. The excellent location near the old course and seafront is an added bonus. We will definitely return for another visit.

Visited yesterday afternoon after a freezing walk along the beach. We were a party of 4 adult, 2 kids and 2 dogs and made to feel very welcome. Soup and sandwich lunch was really good and kids menu portions were also very good. Hot chocolate for kids and wine for the ladies was very much enjoyed.

The hotel is easy to find, free parking nearby. The welcome warm and friendly. The rooms were lovely, comfy and clean and the views amazing. Would love to visit again. Unfortunately our visit was marred by friends we went with turning out to be complete b******s but we would definitely love to visit again alone.

There is a reason that the Golf Inn is half the price of 5 star alternatives in St Andrews. What you get is a nice hotel with excellent customer service and decent food. Unfortunately the negatives slightly outweigh the positives. The floorboards are not level - consistent with a building its age. There is no disabled access to rooms and...

Stayed for a 2 night visit to the town. Room very well presented with a good view. Both evening dinners cooked from fresh with good desserts following. Full English breakfasts together with cereals, fruit juices, blueberry pies etc. made a good start to the day. (You may not need topping up for a while!). Staff very friendly and welcoming.
