Response from IHGService, Guest Relations Manager at Holiday Inn Express Dunfermline

Hi CleethorpesGtfcfan, Your stay with us is much appreciated and your thoughts are valuable. I hear your frustration about the quality of food served and limited choice. This is not reflective of the Holiday Inn Express standard. Rest assured that our team will look into the issues you have raised and have them addressed accordingly. Despite the inconveniences, we hope that you can give us another opportunity to host your stay again. Many Thanks, Ronald R. Case Manager IHGService

Yes the windows open, HValley is as said above, about 15 - 20 mins away and if you need a fridge you could always ask them or take a small mini fridge that holds 3 - 4 coke size cans in it, for various bits and pieces, we have a small one and take ours away sometimes when it is hot and we want to keep things cool.

What time is breakfast available from, please?
I think it is from 7am. But a quick call to the hotel may help you. They are very nice.

"The higher the floor, the better"
"Ground floor was best for me as I'm disabled, but also because the rooms are a bit quiter and away from any road noise."
"Don’t get a room above the main entrance."
"Ask for a room at the back of the hotel away from the bar/reception."
"We faced the road and it was quiet so I presume that all the rooms are the same."
