Stayed here with the girlfriend for a birthday weekend. The room is easily worth 4 stars, with good layout and decor, and ensuite was very modern. However, the smell of cigarettes filled the property, we could tell someone was smoking indoors as the odour hit us the second we left the room. George was a great guy, very helpful and...

Great location, friendly and comical staff, lovely breakfast, characterful and clean property, great location for Murrayfield Stadium and off-road parking situated close by. All in all a great little B&B

The room was clean and tidy no sign of dust no complaints about the en suite very clean and plenty of towels. Breakfast was good set us...

Very dusty (don't even look into the closet), not very clean carpet and wouldn't feel comfortable walking barefoot, stained doors and tables, water tap in the sink broken, toothpaste marks on the mirror, towels stored unprotected directly next to the toilet (!). We stayed one night and didn't even use the shower as it simply didn't feel clean. Dining room...

It's ok since the distance town isn't too far. Parking place was available and near to the house. The staff in the morning was super friendly!!!!! Breakfast was ok. The bathroom should be renovated as soon as possible.

I hate to be one of those people who moans about places online, but having been reduced to tears by the owner of this place and been upset to the point where I actually left and went to stay in a hotel, I felt it best to warn people. The owner should not be in a public facing job. He...

I had a pleasant stay here. The décor my be a bit traditional / old fashioned, but the staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful and the breakfast was very good. All in all, good budget accommodation, I'd stay again.

We stayed here one night before heading off to the Highlands. It really has a low standard and a funny food smell. Very small room, clean and very good shower. The lady serving the breakfast is absolutely fantastic and charming. I will not come back here again though.

Thank Jonas M

“Very comfortable for a family of 3 in room 5. Never saw other rooms for more than 2 people. You can hear people on the street at night talking at times but it wasn't that loud. WI Fi worked great and room decorated very cozy.”

“Our room slept 3, faced the street and had a private bathroom. There is a pretty steep staircase to get to our room, but not bad at all. We never intended to spend any time in our hotel since we were always out and about in Edinburgh, so lack of a "common room" was not an issue.”
Sondra27, 18 Jul 2014 | Read review
“Room 8 is a good room - has its share of stairs but it is one of the rooms with an ensuite washroom (WC).”
