Reviews summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.
Powered by AI

Ibis Budget Edinburgh Park is often commended for its prime location, offering easy access to trams leading to the airport and city center, and is in close proximity to shopping facilities. Guests have praised the cleanliness of both rooms and common areas, although some feel the rooms are quite basic and compact, with concerns over privacy and comfort. While the service is generally regarded as friendly and helpful, opinions on the hotel's value and amenities are mixed, with some travelers finding the offerings, such as the limited breakfast options and lack of in-room kettles, to be lacking.

Location: Quite a few miles west of the city centre but there is a tram stop right outside. Trams are every 7 minutes and it’s £3.20 return to Princes Street (Edinburgh city centre), which takes about 15 minutes. Don’t let the distance from the city centre put you off. It really isn’t an issue.
Room: Comfortable bed. Spotlessly clean. Shower was roomy and nice and powerful but the door opens into the bedroom. Not an issue providing you dry yourself off in the shower afterwards. Toilet is separate from shower. There was a TV but we didn’t use it.
Price: We stayed on a Saturday night for £29 booked a few weeks in advance.
Staff: All that that we met were very helpful and thoroughly professional.
Facilities: We didn’t really use any but there’s free tea and coffee in the bar area. There is a bar. 24/7 food available via room service.
Breakfast: We didn’t have breakfast here. If you want a good Scottish breakfast I highly recommend taking a 15 minute drive to South Queensferry and visiting The Railbridge Bistro for amazing views and amazing food with a smile.

My wife and I stayed 1 night, arriving from EDI Airport by taxi(15 GBP) at midnight. The efficient receptionist checked a passport, gave key cards, breakfast info and offered coffee/tea, before we took one of the elevators to the 2nd floor.
Prepaid room #221 was a nice sized triple with wood floor, opening to a toilet room, outside wash basin with quick hot water and a separate shower stall, then a comfortable double, small desk and stool, TV with good reception of 50+ channels in English.
The open room WIFI was strong, 1 room outlet, good lighting and wall controlled AC/heat. Quiet night’s sleep
Breakfast buffet was well serviced and very good with OJ, meats and cheese, yogurt, cereals with muesli and almond milk, croissants, breads, deserts and instant coffee/tea.
This is a clean and modern 162 room hotel offering good value near the airport.

This hotel is very convenient both for its price and its location, near the airport and with free car park for its guests. It's obviously designed for short stays, though it's equipped with all the essentials.

Our room was spartan, but clean, with a glazed shower enclosed in a niche and open to the room itself - so keep it in mind if you share your room.

Breakfast is complimentary and it's good, maybe not too varied, but appropriate for the price. If needed, you may have dinner here: there are a few standard options, which might not be top-class, though they won't let you starve either.

Staff is polite and professional. Good Covid regulations in place. Great price.

There was absolutely nothing 'budget' about our experience at this hotel. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and their level of professionalism left other, more expensive, hotels that we've stayed in standing. Beds were very comfortable and standard of cleanliness was exceptional. Excellent location for a 15 minute tram journey into the city centre and very quiet. We really appreciated the 24 hour very reasonably priced snacks and drinks that were available. We will definitely return!

Stayed one night as I was meeting a colleague at the airport early morning. Arriving in the evening easy check in clean comfortable room very basic but for the price what do you expect. Very surprised how good the morning breakfast was very good choice.
Car parking was available free but you must remember to register your car on arrival

If you have a reasonably early  flight out of Edinburgh Airport the following day and need a basic but clean room for the night at reasonable cost then this hotel would be perfect.
Only 5 to 10 minutes to the airport depending on traffic,  its ideally located (near the Gyle shopping centre) and there were plenty of parking spaces in their car park outside, although we were traveling off peak.
The rooms are small but perfectly adequate,  with a comfy double bed, a compact but warm and quite powerful shower and a WC.
The rooms are set up with main light, bedside light and low level strip lighting all operated by buttons above the bed. For those with young children there is a bed over the main double bed accessible by a small ladder.
Although we didn't order breakfast there was free tea and coffee available morning and night and the reception staff were very friendly and helpful.
Would definitely stay there again when flying from Edinburgh Airport.

First the hotel was clean, comfortable and in a good location. I would use again. Just be aware that the shower is in the main room with a glass door and the toilet that has a door about 8mm thick with a gap at the top. If you did not know your room mate before you will by the end of your stay. Nothing is left to the imagination. Perfect for couples. We got a free parking space both nights but there is no parking near the hotel that I could see for over night parking, no idea where you would park if it was full as all the other car parks are private or limited time parking. Great area seemed safe and was good for morning run’s, supermarket near by. Great food at Philly’s just up the road after a long days driving.

Location is brilliant, staff check in very helpful. As were all the staff.
The room was more basic than others I've used. The shower was like a shower cubicle in a caravan and the door would not close. The vents to the room are the ones with flaps, so all night with the wind, you are entertained by the constant flap. The beds are firm, so comfort was not the issue.
Understandably under covid guidance there are no kettles in the room, so you go downstairs to help yourself, where everyone else is sharing the same room. Too busy for me.

My partner and I stayed here for one night while visiting Edinburgh. It is out of the city so nice and quiet in the evenings (you can spot rabbits running around the grounds outside!) but you need a car or to take the tram into the city centre.

The room was fairly standard but sadly not particularly clean. Facilities were basic and the room layout was a bit bizarre (shower in a cupboard opening directly into the main bedroom) but the bed was comfortable and the addition of heating/aircon in the room was good. We felt the room would have benefitted from a kettle and tea/coffee making facilities in the room as the communal "kitchen" in the lobby was messy and unhygienic.

All in all, the hotel was fairly decent for the price we paid but not sure if we would revisit in the future.

Rosa gave us a very warm welcome and was professional and helpful in explaining the new Covid regulations. Free tea and coffee at the bar and a pleasant environment. The rooms were clean, comfy, cosy and great for a stop-over, not a longer period. The hotel staff will order a taxi for free to the airport which will arrive in a matter of minutes. Ours cost gbp 17:50 for a 2:8 mile journey at 04:00 am which maybe plays a role in the slightly higher price.

As far as I am aware there is a tram station close by that will take you to the airport. In fairness it is a 10min taxi ride door to door. If there is a few of you travelling it's probably easier using a taxi.

No but you are near the tram stop to the centre of Edinburgh and the railway station
