This did not lived up to expectations in comparison to inn keepers lodge in skipton . It is a Toby carvery down stairs . However the staff are superb, bedroom quiet, despite on main road , clean comfortable ro with great shower . Fabulous breakfast too . Easy bus route from outside hotel to city centre. You won’t see anything that says Inkeeper’s Lodge, except a sign with the web address. This is really the CARVERY & INN. The 28 basic rooms are above a restaurant/bar with tasty inexpensive food. The front rooms have traffic noise from the busy street. Talk in the hallway can is heard from all rooms. I requested a quiet room when...

We stayed here whilst attending the Edinburgh Tattoo. A 30 minute bus ride takes you right onto Princes Street, central for all amenities. The hotel is attached to Toby Carvery where we enjoyed a great evening meal. We had a large room at the front of the hotel which initially worried me as being on a busy main road, but...

Stayed for Two Nights. Management and Staff where more than helpful, (General Manager, Chef, Angela housekeeper) couldn't ask for more. The Restaurant food was exceptionally good value. The only downfall, the room at the front was a touch small and there was no Aircon. I'm know where not abroad and a budget hotel, but you couldn't have the window open...

We enjoyed our stay and there was an amazing bathroom with great shower, and it was close to the bus lines. On site parking was great though a bit tricky to find and spots were limoted and the food was good. Wi-Fi never worked and the cleaning service was in and out of the nook by our room quite a...

This was our first stay at this hotel. It was very pleasant. Our room was on the small side and situated at the front making it noisy with passing traffic. The bed was very comfortable. Towels and tea/coffee making facilities were all supplied. This is a Toby Carvery Pub and was excellent for lunches, evening meals and breakfast. Continental breakfast...

Stayed here while attending a testimonial dinner in Edinburgh. Check in was made easy by staff. Free car parking in municipal car park a bonus with sticker provided by hotel staff. Room was of a good size. Very clean and comfortable. Only downside was the room was very warm and because it was situated at the front when you opened...
