Gladstone House is an absolutely brilliant place to stay. About 15 mins from the Royal Mile, it has everything you can possibly ask of a B&B. The rooms are spacious, spotless and extremely comfortable, the breakfast is simply incredible and Tom and Hamish will go head over heel to help you with maps, recommendations and tips to visit the city....

We had a fantastic stay at Gladstone House! We visited Edinburgh for a wedding in the city centre, and this was the ideal location to get into town easily, but still provided us with a really relaxed stay. The house itself is absolutely beautiful, and our room was airy and bright, with lovely decoration and a view into the back...

Thank you for taking the time to write this review. We wish you luck with our marmalade recipe although you may be too late to buy the special oranges needed as they are only available for a short season in late January and early February. So don’t delay if you want to have a shot. We have already had a...

We booked this at short notice and were extremely happy with the location, room and hosts. A great place to stay, easy to get into the city, great choice of breakfast. Lovely room, absolutely spotless - however, road noise can be heard, so suggest you ask for a room at the back.

The accommodation is first class and the hosts are very welcoming. It is within easy walking distance of the city centre and has many splendid eating places close to hand if you don't want to walk into town in the evening. All in all a very pleasant and relaxing place to stay.

This was a beautiful guest house with professional and amiable hosts. The rooms are large and the breakfast excellent. There is an excellent bus service just outside the door. Highly recommended as a place to stay in Edinburgh.

Gladstone House was our first stop when we arrived in Edinburgh for a whirlwind tour of Scotland, and Hamish and Tom were our first introduction to the warmth of the Scots. Our accommodations were small but lovely and breakfast was wonderful consisting of thick, homemade slices of brown bread along with a menu of egg and pancake dishes topped with...

I stayed here for 5 nights in July 2014 while I attended a course. Its a very pretty hotel with tasteful rooms that are spotlessly clean. The breakfast choice is great and amongst the best I have experienced. The owners were very helpful and quickly provided me an electric fan when i said my room was too warm - it...

Thank you so much for your glowing review. It is rare indeed in Scotland that we have weather as hot as it was during your stay. We were only too pleased to be able to help keep your room cooler. We look forward to welcoming you back sometime in the future.

This is a lovely place to stay, clean comfortable rooms, friendly hosts and lovely breakfasts. It is very convenient with a bus stop just outside or you can take the picturesque walk into the city. There are also a variety of restaurants and a pub which does very good food close by. The hosts could not have been more helpful;...
