Cheap and cheerful is a comment that is often bandied about. Abbots House Hotel, on the other hand does not fall in to this category at all. Abbots House Hotel can only be described as cheap and NASTY. BEWARE:- The pictures on the website looked good, but as they say, never judge a book by it's cover. In my opinion,...

Stayed here for 1 night in the middle of November. Easy enough to get to; a 10 minute bus ride from Edinburgh city centre. Was quite pricey. Room was decent enough but the shared bathroom wasn't the cleanest. The fire alarm going off a 3am wasn't ideal either.

My family and I stayed 2 nights at the Abbot's House Hotel while traveling in Scotland. It is located in the downtown area of Edinburgh. Our room included 1 king size bed, 1 double bed as well as a small TV. It was perfect for what we were looking for, just a clean place to sleep. We were out all...

The room was neat and clean, the bedding was fresh and the ensuite was all you need for a night or two. The room had a tv and tea and coffee tray. The staff were really friendly and helpful. It is well situated for city centre and outskirts. My only gripe would be that the breakfast is served quite late...

Having made a reservation here and arriving I was totally lost for words. This place is a mixture of a hostel and drop in centre. It is full of Eastern Europeans all for working. The rooms are very low end with shared facilities that every man and his dog use with sub standards facilities. Be Careful when booking on these...

We were welcomed by a friendly member of staff were he gave us a run through of how the B&B works, gave us our key and showed us our room. We were pleasantly surprised to begin with because we had ordered a triple room, this room was massive with four beds and the furnishings were lovely! I can't complain about...

Very nice staff, nice breakfast. Hotel is good located, in a quiet part of the city a bit outter of the city. Room is small, smelly and not clean at all. If you've got low budget, you may choose this one, but otherwise you can find better ones in Edinburgh.

Being a contractor you never expect The Ritz! But seriously this place is like a squat or even a crack den. Rooms stink! Toilet full of the last guests dinner, Just basically an absolute dump that needs shutting down ASAP.......
