After much searching for accommodation in this busy time we found a real gem. This is a beautiful guest house with large well appointed rooms a comfy bed and nice bathroom. It was all spotlessly clean. Plenty of breakfast choice all cooked to order. Theresa and her daughter made us feel very welcome. I would not hesitate to recommend this...

If you are looking for excellent accommodation within easy reach of Edinburgh this is the place to go. Brilliant host, fabulous room and delicious food. We received a lovely warm welcome, the room was immaculate and the most comfortable bed ever!

I visited aaran lodge to assist with the hair for a wedding party staying there. I was appalled by the treatment the guests got by Theresa and her husband. They had not realised that hair and make up was taking place in the room and were clearly not happy at this. The situation ended with both owners shouting at the...

Aaran Lodge is beautifully decorated and furnished, the bathrooms are gorgeous and the rooms are toasty warm. Buffet breakfast is one of the best I've had. The owner Ted is a charming host and helpful. Buses run into the centre from outside the door every ten minutes. Top place to stay.

Beautiful b&b, big room, well-finished bathroom. The house was full of every kind of pillows! 15-20 minuts to the center with the bus. Very small car park. The owner didn't answer to our emails. The owner is not very nice. Her housband is surely nicer. Breakfast is not the best.

We came to Edinburgh to look at the University and had undertaken a review of lots of hotels and Guest Houses before we booked. It is located a little out of the centre of Edinburgh but it's an easy drive away. Although the owner was away, her husband and daughter provided a fantastic and welcoming service. The guest house is...

I found this B&B after much searching as I hadn't realised that the festival was on and wanted to stay over August Bank Holiday with my 11 year old daughter. I was very impressed with the virtual tour on the website and after emailing for availability, booked a twin room over the phone for the following weekend. Upon arrival, Theresa...

Booked a last minute one night stay to visit the Edinburgh Fringe Festival which is a short bus ride away with a fantastic bus service right outside Aaran Lodge. This guest house is spotlessly clean, in a quiet location with very good sized rooms and amenities. Lovely continental breakfast available served by a very friendly Theresa who made us feel...
