Well, what can we say about Abercorn? Absolutely Fabulous! We have been staying with Angie and her lovely family for the last 8 years. We have always found the accommodation wonderful, the breakast second to none, especially being serendaded by Rod Stewart!! and Angie's local knowledge of the area invaluable. Our stay at Abercorn was the best and we found Angela to be a wonderful and helpful hostess. Our room was spotless, our bathroom as well, all amenities were furnished and smelled so good! Our bed was comfortable and our room was beautiful. Our breakfasts were extremely tasty and there was plenty! When information was needed about where to go...

Angela MacDonald is an amazing host as are her staff, including her father (loved him) and her husband. Rooms beautifully finished, spotlessley clean, have everything you need (except clothes hook in bathroom for room 4 - Angela will laugh at this (in joke)). Breakfast wonderful. Location brilliant - free on-street safe parking with No 26 bus running every few minutes...

Without a doubt the best B&B I have ever stayed in. A home away from home. Great Atmosphere and Ambiance. Tasty Breakfasts and very friendly Service. If you wish to stay in scotland (portabello) in Edinburgh is the place to go, and you must also stay with Angela at the Abercorn guest house,together with her husband and the children they made us feel very much as if we were in our own home, in Australia. For a family of 5 and to fit us all in...

I would not stay anwyhere else in Edinburgh now we have found this gem of a guest house. Abercorn offers a friendly, warm welcome and excellent service, the breakfast is excellent and the rooms are beautiful and clean. We will return to Abercorn again, thanks Angela for a fabulous stay.

I stayed at the guest house for 4days and each day was great. The breakfast was lovely and Angela was so helpful with how to get into town and what there was to do in town.
