We booked our room through laterooms.com on the same day while we were on the road. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. The place was nice, quite and clean. There is a little bar where you can have drinks, the dining room looked nice (we did not have breakfast there as it is an extra £10 pp). The whole...

We stayed in a number of B & B's on our trip and this is right up there with the best. The hosts are fantastic, even allowing us to do 2 loads of washing for free and hanging one of them out so that we could go into town. Very well presented facility with the best breakfast we encountered in...

Stayed here for 3 nights in july and could not believe the quality of everything from the rooms to the fantastic breakfast choice! Carolyn and her staff were the best i have encountered ( and we travel everywhere all the time!). This wee treasure is ideally situated for anyone who wants to explore east lothian being close to edinburgh city...

We stayed just one night but there is really nothing to complain. Spacious rooms, comfortable bed, everything superclean, electric kettle with complimentary coffee, teabags, chocolate, biscuits and more. Everything looks new or refurbished. Owner was really nice and open to any questions and chat. Perfect breakfast with choice of Scottish one, Egg Benedict etc... Ok – here you go with...

We stayed 2 nights and then came back the night before we were leaving Scotland. Carolyn is such a lovely person and fantastic hostess. The rooms were great with those extra little touches. I will definitely return when I go back to Scotland. The food was superb and they had so many extras such as lemon curd, cheeses, and a...

Firstly - this is an excellently appointed B&B - far above the standard you would normally expect. The only negative - the area that the B&B is in, isn't the most picturesque. The positive - is that it is on the main bus route into Edinburgh - and we found the buses both reasonably priced and frequent. Carolyn was both...

Hi was at the Aaron Glen Guesthouse in April 2013. I really enjoyed my stay there, the room was very comfortable, the people most welcoming and the breakfasts remarkable. The location was a little too far out, most likely not an option if you don't have your own car.

I would endorse the excellent reviews already on here. We arrived on a Monday to be welcomed by Carolyn and were shown to first class rooms, our Dutch friend was with us. The 3 of us returned the following Sunday and stayed for 4 nights. Breakfasts are superb with a huge choice and piping hot, better than a lot of...

After a bit of a stressful flight to Edinburgh - thanks Flybe :( - to arrive at our lovely warm room and be greeted by Carolyn was a blessed relief. She was so kind to us during our two night stay that I wish we had been able to stay longer. As other reviewers have noted everything here is excellent...

We would like to say 'Thank you' for the great time we had at this place. The room was very clean and very well decorated. Since we spend most of the time in town + countryside we really enjoyed the breakfast. Besides a large variety of flakes, fruits, nuts, juices, jellies we enjoyed eggs, salmon, toasts, tomatoes and mushrooms in...
