The hotel was close and a nice walk into the centre of town, and the views were spectacular, with shops selling just about everything on the doorstep. However, what's disappointing is that on arrival, our shower was dirty and there were what appeared to be blood stains on the wall above the toilet. The carpet had a layer of dirt...

I stayed in a single room for 4 nights. I'd like to apologise to my neighbour for needing to use my hairdryer early in the morning. The walls are paper thin. I could hear my neighbour on the phone, and they were not speaking loudly. Consequently, due to neighbour noise and street noise, I didn't sleep well even with earplugs....

A warm and friendly welcome from a genuine ( heavily pregnant lass) who could not do enough for us! The street was quiet for a city centre and the breakfast fine indeed! The rooms need a wee big TLC but for the price, anyone that gives this less than. 5 star are deluded. You get what you pay for and...

I booked a single room for two nights at the beginning of the school holidays. The location was great for exploring the city; the hosts were welcoming and the breakfast was tasty. My only negatives were: the bed was quite uncomfortable and the shower was unfortunately very poor in terms of temperature and water pressure.

My room here was not very clean, and in need of complete renovation, very tatty. Extremely small bathroom, I had to climb over the toilet to get in and out of the shower. Very large window facing the street and apartments opposite, with no net curtains or blind, so no privacy without closing the curtains. I had to rearrange the...

Not happy with our stay here and would not recommend. Stayed with my wife and daughter for two nights but would never return. You eat breakfast in another B&B so got soaking wet in the rain on the way there. Room very shabby with no wardrobe. Breakfast very sparse, one of each item, tiny portion of beans and no haggis...

The guest house is in a quiet street about a 20 min walk from city centre and well served by bus 27 and 23 stops very close by.Check-in is at Ardlene Guest House 2 doors away. The lovely, friendly young couple running both let me check in early and my room was smallish, perhaps a little dated, and the shower a bit cramped for...

It is a small and quiet hotel. Located on a quiet street. Tidy room, where you have TV and all supplies:like a cattle with selection of teabags, cups, a hairdryer, shampoo and soap. You can get a typical Scottish breakfast with fried bacon and eggs, and also they have porridge!! Time for breakfast is flexible, if you need an early...

The guest house is good value this close to the city centre. Although the single room is very small, if you are only looking for somewhere to rest your weary head at night, it's absolutely fine. It's warm and the bed was very comfortable. Although my room looked out over the street, I had no probelm with otside noise. The...
