It is a formula hotel. You know what you are going to get. Clean fairly basic rooms with a comfy bed. At this location they do not have any direct parking but there are a few payable options within a short walk. There is meter parking right next to the hotel, and you don't have to pay for Sunday, so...

Not quite central location but only 10 minutes walk for Princes Street with ease access to Castle, theatres and cinema. Mostly eating out as was meeting with friends, staff very helpful in recommending alternative eating venues. Room was very clean, spacious and quiet. Always slept well and never experienced any issues from outside noise Had a very pleasant long weekend...

The building looks clean and new inside & out, the reception staff helpful & thorough explaining the facilities & mealtimes, answered query about arriving back early mornings. Only 1 lift working so slight waits but not unexpected. Room was large & spacious, good & sufficient facilities, extra pillows available in room, large & clean bathroom. Breakfasts were well catered for...

Stayed for one night here and was not disappointed. The man on reception was very helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable and clean. We had a twin room which had a double bed and a single bed . The bathroom was spotlessly clean. We had not booked breakfast but went down in the morning and paid for a continental...

Super located hotel near to grass market and city centre. Staff were great, friendly and chatty. Car parking nearby. Loved the Scotland flags on the staff badges, never seen that before, good one premier inn. Place spotless, beds comfy, shower was great, breakfast spot on and best of all, booked way in advance and got the room for for £33,...

Staying in Old Town

Neighbourhood Profile
Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly visitors, tartan-flavoured souvenir shops, and pipers that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the royal palace – two of Edinburgh’s great set-piece attractions. But there’s lots more exploring to do here down dozens of little alleys, or wynds, while at night the city’s busiest clubs erupt along the Cowgate which is closed to traffic for this purpose.
