We stayed here from 13th to 18th August 2015. We are a couple in our early 60s. Let’s start with the negatives. On the penultimate day of our stay the room was not serviced. The bed was not made with the duvet just pulled up the bed in a haphazard manner. The soiled bath mat and hand towel that we...

My cousin and I stayed at Arrandale for 2 nights in early July. The guest house is located on a quiet street in a beautiful old neighborhood and is surrounded by lots of other guest houses. There is a bus stop close by and several buses to choose from. We were disappointed with our greeting at the guest house. When...

I’m glad that overall you found your stay here pleasant and that you enjoyed the haggis. I apologise for any shortcomings you encountered. My son or I are always on hand to welcome guests and many people have commented on my son’s friendly manner. The private bathroom for that room is accessed by a key and only the guests from...

We stayed here for two nights at the end if our tour of Scotland and could not have been made more welcome. The affordable accommodation was clean and comfortable.Free WI-FI an added bonus. Off streets parking and an excellent bus service close by. The breakfasts delicious. I would definitely stay here again if we ever return to Edinburgh.

We had a lovely four night stay here. Lis the owner and her son were lovely, friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was very nice and the room was just right. The bed was so comfy and king size. Location was good and the buses ran past every few minutes. There is a leaflet detailing which buses to use. Cost of...

Everything was ok, but this place could be so much better. Didn't get a particularly friendly welcome; just handed keys and not shown to room. Room was fairly clean but few cobwebs on ceiling and grouting in shower was dirty. The bed was comfy, but was disturbed by the incredibly loud bathroom fan which came on with the light and...

The fan has been replaced, the shower thoroughly cleaned and not a cobweb in sight. Since your stay we have new, larger pillows. I have made sure that guests will always receive a warm, friendly welcome.

Spent new year in Edinburgh with my boyfriend and it was a lovely place we stayed. Stayed for 2 nights from the 30th. Good location just a mile from the royal mile down one straight main road, we paid for an all day bus ticket per person and used it to get too and from the centre on New Year's...

The Arrandale was perfectly situated approx. a mile and a half from the Princess Street/Royal Mile area. There were plentiful buses servicing the road that the guest house is on. The room was a good size and well equipped. The breakfast was good and set you up for the day. There was plenty of tourist information on display to help...

This review is not a reflection based on our stay at the guest house. My husband and i chose this b & b last year to celebrate our wedding anniversary weekend in Edinburgh, and as i was so good last year we wanted to return..... However, upon arrival we soon discovered that our booking had not been written in the...

The Arrandale was easy to find as it`s on the main road south out of the city centre, about 1 and half miles. Bus stop 1 min walk up road, every 10 mins, £1.50 single journey. Lis has provided all details needed for buses. She even gave us some change one day, as exact money is needed! The Arrandale is...
