We chose to stay at the Sheridan when visiting Edinburgh for a wedding after enjoying our stay a few years ago, and we weren't disappointed. The room was lovely and the breakfast was fantastic. The only downside was to be told when we checked out that we had paid significantly more because we booked online following the link from the...

Management response:

I am sorry that your booking method ‘left a sour taste’. By booking on-line the room rates are generally the same as booking direct with the Guest House and rates are never 'significantly' different. However we do at our discretion give discounts to regular or returning guests, or at last minute to fill rooms.

The Sheridan GH is convenient to Edinburgh town center with a short bus ride, as well as Leith restaurants and activities. Rowena & Tom's hospitality is genuine & abundant. When my family needed a short ride to the car rental office, Tom offered to take us, providing a tremendous convenience. Thank you Tom! While Rowena saw to every need with...

Traveled with my husband and his parents who are first time visitors to the UK and we all absolutely loved this place - the rooms were modern and very comfortable. Tom and Rowena were such warm and friendly hosts and made incredible...

My partner and I went up to Edinburgh last week to do the Half Marathon and our stay at the Sheridan Guest House made the whole weekend even better than it already was! It's approx 1.5/2 miles from the centre and can easily be walked or reached with Bus No 11. The house is beautifully decorated with a lot of...

I've stayed twice now at the Sheridan Guest House and already booked for my next trip. Rowena is adorable, very guest-oriented and available to help if you require assistance. The welcome is warm and friendly; rooms are impeccable, the breakfast is hearty (with fresh fruits, yogurts and your choice is made, ready to order). It's almost as if you were...

This place is amazing. Rooms are great. Bathrooms are wonderful. Furniture and style is just what makes you enjoy your time at the hotel. The dinning room is just like restraunt with calm music which just makes your breakfast another rest. Location is better than it seems. It is quiet, away from centre and for those who likes walking -...
