Thank you for your review, we are so pleased you enjoyed your stay, the receptionist you mention was my wife Susan, she is the one that deserves all the credit for many of the services we offer at the hotel, without her Kevin would not be mentioned as much in the reviews. We hope you had a safe journey home and would love to invite you back to the hotel in the future. Best wishes Kevin, Susan and all the team.

If you’re looking for a spot to be in the middle of the action, this isn’t it. It’s a quiet residential street about a 15-20 minute walk or a very easy bus ride to the castle and surrounding areas. You should walk after the beer, whisky, haggis and shortbread. Kevin & Susan are

Is there public transportation to the city centre and tourist attractions? We don't mind the walk but if the weather is bad would like to know there are options
2 minute walk away from the hotel, buses every 5 to 10 minutes into city centre.

What are the options to travel to the hotel via public transport from the airport? What is the walking distance to various tourist attractions...Edinburgh castle, Royal mile, Old Town? Thank you
If you have luggage I would recommend a taxi, it will cost around £20 to £25, you can also get the tram or bus from the airport £4.50 per person to Princess Street and then a number 30 or 33 to Marchhall Place £1.70 per person. We are about 20 to 25 minutes walk from the city centre, where you have the Royal Mile, the Castle, Museums and historical buildings.

We are planning a trip for 2019 for the festival and tattoo. How close are you to the castle? Are taxi’s available? Thank you.
Are there laundry faclities onsite? Or nearby drop-off laundry service? Thanks, we'll need it about the time of our stay..
Thank you for your enquiry, we are happy to do laundry for guests on site, as long as it is practical, no dry cleaning.
