We stayed at the Amar Agua for my birthday week and what a lovely B&B. It's near enough so that you can walk into Edinburgh and on the main bus routes so you only need to walk a little way and can get a bus (£4.00 ticket lothian bus on and off all day ticket, good value) The good thing... More

We stayed at Amar Agua for 4 nights and had a wonderful stay. The room (3) we stayed in was clean and well furnished, the bathroom was a good size for a guest house and the bed was comfortable. The shower pressure was a little weak but that's because it is not a power shower like we are used to.... More

We stayed from 22nd October to 24th October. We were very impressed with the room, very clean with a touch of opulence in the form of a very comfortable four poster bed. Our room was at the very top of the house and had a beautiful outlook onto Arthur's Seat and the location, although just off a main road, was... More

Stayed at AmarAgua for two nights beginning Sept. 12 in a beautiful room on the top floor with a clear view of Arthur's Seat. Dropped off our bags after our early morning arrival in Edinburgh and were oriented to the city by our hosts. Took the bus back to the town center and were on our way to Edinburgh Castle.... More

Traveled with my twenty-something niece and nephew and stayed 3 nights at Amar Agua. Lovely place with excellent breakfast. Location was a bit out of city centre which meant bus, uber or taxi to get there. If traveling with younger set I might chose to stay in walking distance of centre. Also, no lift so be prepared if you're on... More

Thank you for your review. Unfortunately the rooms which you had chosen were situated on our top floor and as we are a Victorian House built in 1882, obviously we are unable to have a lift. We are 1.5miles from the city centre, but all of this information is CLEARLY stated on our website for guests to see before they... More

My husband and I arrived on Wednesday the 7th of September, from the time of arriving to our departure on Sunday the 11th of September, we were tret like kings and queens. The whole few days were fantastic. Absolutely nothing was to much trouble, as I have problems walking around. Dawn Anne arranged for a wheelchair, you don't get this... More

If you are looking for a 5 star B&B in Edinburgh this is it. Beautiful clean comfortable rooms en suite. Breakfast is lovely, with a very personal touch. Just outside of the city center but within walking distance of numerous fine eating places.

Good location just outside city centre, roughly 10 mins in the car, easy to find your way about. Guest House was suited to our needs, we were on the upper floor and our 14 yr old daughter had a single room to herself which was ideal. Very welcoming hosts and the breakfast was well presented, fresh and great value for... More
