We stayed here on a hen weekend in 2 different 6 bed dorms. The dorms were clean, ours had a great view out of the window, and near to the communal showers and toilets. We had a toilet and shower combo in our room, however it smelt a bit damp so we had to leave the fan on to air...

The hostel is a short 10-15 min walk from the coach station and a 5 min walk from Waverly train station. Check-in was smooth, staff were friendly and they swapped me to a bottom bunk when I requested. As with all St. Christopher's franchises, they also provide a brochure that gives you a discount at the Belushi bar downstairs for...

I really enjoy the St. Christopher's set up. I think it's great that you can have the restaurant connected and also with the discounts. We were grateful to do our laundry here. There were some problems however. There was some confusion with my sister's bed. When we came back in the evening her bed was taken by someone else and...

Is a very good hostel. Secure, clean, people there is friendly, they have a very good breakfast. I Totally recommend it. It has a bar besides the reception. I didn't found so comfortable the chilling out area.

If this is the worst that St. Christopher's offers, then sign me up! Excellent, friendly service. Clean rooms and bathrooms; that were kept clean. Excellent location just off of the Royal Mile and across from Waverley Station. The hubby and I stayed in a 10 person dorm. No problems. Not to mention, the lovely receptionist at the counter all but...

Not an awful place to stay...but not particularly great. I'm not a very fussy person... but I've decided to stay a few extra days in Edinburgh and have chosen a different hostel as opposed to extending it at St. Christophers. Cons: - Laundry "broken"... the whole room is out of order and was the main reason I booked this place...

It's a hostel in every sense of the word! It is not like the modern Generator hostels and such which have more pod like bunks that offer some privacy and have a light and power point in each bed compartment. I didn't like filmsy steel framed bunk beds. There is zero privacy, but what more can you expect? The sheets...

In a word, this place was a dump. Dirty, smelly, broken, unsafe, loud, you name it. My bed was on the floor, I had a skylight that birds could fly through, but no windows. The elevator was broken, as was my door, so it wouldn't stay shut. My room smelled like sewage and the bedding was filthy. I checked out...

Having stayed in the wonderful and recently opened St Christopher's Inn in Paris on a couple of occasions , I thought this the paris hostel would be similar but it is rather more basic The hostel, apparently in the process of being refurbished, really lacks certain basics in the rooms. I stayed in a family room, extremely cramped, and without...

This place is a dump, and they lie. If you look online, and even here, the photos you see are NOT what you're getting at ALL. I traveled with a group and we were shoved in a small room with 6 sets of bunk beds, because for some reason, my school thought a backpacking hostel was a GREAT idea!! We...
