We stayed for 4 nights at No.11. Bedrooms are traditionally furnished and comfortable- bathrooms are modern. The food in the restaurant was excellent with a slightly restricted menu. After our 4 night stay we felt we had exhausted the menu. . We chose to have after dinner drinks and spend two evenings in the lounge. The only criticism we have... More

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Unfortunately we cannot light a fire because the chimneys were blocked off many years ago. However I do take your point - we will try an extra large candle in the fire place and if that helps. Kind regards Susan More

Chic; Great location within walking distance of the Pink Triangle. Room was comfortable and clean. Nice dining area; only drawback was a late check out fee (18 pounds) for checking out 30 min's late. Give a mate a break!

Thank you for leaving such a fantastic review. I am sorry you were charged a late checkout for just being overdue by half an hour. I could understand this happening if everyone staying did this as it would make it very difficult for Housekeeping to have the rooms ready for Check-ins. A one off like this and only half an... Designed by William Playfair this Georgian house is located in a quiet location near a leafy walkway. Rooms are warm, well equipped and comfortable The dining room has a charming mural connected to the Enlightenment movement which emphasised reason and individualism. The food is exceptional, highly recommended seasonal fruit salad, venison/jus/ chunky chips. Staff are efficient and well informed If... More

My fiancée and I stayed for 1 night celebrating our 5th anniversary and everything was excellent. Room was very nice, service was excellent and both dinner and breakfast were out of this world. Also within 10 minutes walk from the train station, which was ideal. Would highly recommend to anybody.

Second visit and we even got the same room. Expansive Georgian Suite with four poster bed, settee, large bathroom with underfloor heating, bath tub and separate shower. We arrived early but our room was available, all the staff were polite and friendly. Breakfast the following morning was plentiful and very tasty. Hotel is near the playhouse and a short walk... Overall this is a nice B&B. There are maybe 10 rooms and I know the top floor room we stayed in was nice but a little smaller then the others. Bathrooms were modern and very clean, dining area is nice and quaint. I can't comment on the dinner there but the breakfast was good. Front desk staff was helpful getting... More

Outstanding room, stayed in part of the previous ballroom. The lovely deep bath was amazing, takes a while to fill but that only leaves more time to lay on the comfy four poster beds and relax with a glass of wine! Staff were very accommodating and had no problem putting extra things in the room which I had ordered to... More

Just a 5 10 minute walk (depending on how quickly you walk) from the Playhouse Theatre. It was a difficult choice from a very good menu but I can try something different the next time I'm in town. The background music was just right as there are some places who have it too loud. Proof of how good it is?... More

No 11 is situated in a quiet street, very near city centre - a ten minute walk from stations. There is metered parking, maximum 4 hours, in the street. Hotel is comfortable and the basement bedroom was spacious and well furnished - bathroom lovely and warm, with bathrobes provided. Very comfortable bed too. Breakfast choice offered decent choice of food.... More

Stayed in mini-suite, nice warm room, spacey, comfy & clean. Would have loved a bath and modern tap in sink was a little awkward but those atre minor points on a fine stay over two nights. Scottish breakfast was excellent.

Many thanks. Sorry about the taps. We just loved the design look and feel, with hindsight something less complicated would have been better. More
