The apartment had everything my husband and I needed for our weekend away in Edinburgh and was well located for everything we wanted to do. We were at the castle in 15-20 minutes and there were plenty of great restaurants within a few minutes. It was even only about an hour to the top of Arthur's seat. We just cooked...

We booked a two bedroom suite for a couple of nights and we love this place. Excellent location!! Spacious rooms!!! It's very nice to have a little kitchen to make some simple breakfast for our family of 4. Washroom is a little small, otherwise, perfect.

These apartments are superb in terms of location for a 'tourist' visit to Edinburgh and as a place to relax. Within walking distance are all the main attractions you might want to visit whilst in central Edinburgh, and nearby are restaurants offering a variety of menus, open from daybreak to dusk. We started off in apartment 19 at the rear...

Located immediately behind the west end of George Street, this was the perfect location for us to stay in while enjoying a night out in Edinburgh - no taxis required. The apartments were modern, clean and had everything we required for a one night booking, including breakfast, which was a nice touch! Booking directly online, communication was friendly and efficient.

We stayed in Apartment 31 for 4 nights in June. This is located on 2nd floor close to the lift, but with no noise ever heard from the lift. I think the apartment was originally designed to be wheelchair friendly as the doorways are v wide and the apartment is spacious (could also see a disabled alarm cord in the...

Perfect self-catered flat in Edinburgh. Located behind George Street, it is on a quiet street off the tourist track, but a short walk to both new and old town. Scores of restaurants, bars and shops within minutes walking distance. We had a two-bedroom apartment with full kitchen facilities, superb wifi 5G connection, washer/dryer, dishwasher and, best of all, onsite garage...

We were bowled over by how helpful and friendly the staff were. We arrived very early in the morning via the Caledonian Sleeper but asked if the hotel could keep our bags until we were able to check in. Not only were they willing to do this, they promised to ensure our room was the first to be cleaned by...

Lovely, clean, well situated apartments. Greeted by a lovely chap who was helpful and friendly, gave us a map and showed us the best places to eat and where to go. Enjoyed our sta, very clean and quiet which I'm surprised at how quiet it was! 2minute walk from bars/pubs, 10-15 minute walk from castle and shops. Defo be back!

Staying in New Town

Neighbourhood Profile
New Town
Suits and shopping bags rule the streets of New Town, until after dark when strappy dresses come out to play. This is the city’s central business district with its smaller offices, clothes boutiques, and many of the city’s flashiest restaurants and ritziest clubs. The architecture along roads like George Street helps give it a swank and formal feel: it’s a planned Georgian development of regal townhouses, geometric squares, and self-important statues. But it’s also a very wanderable neighbourhood, with a healthy bustle at almost any time of day and fine people-watching in places like St Andrew's Square which fills with picnickers around lunch. You’ll also find a series of cheerful basement bistros on Hanover Street, while dark Rose Street has something of the feel of an undiscovered back alley and is chock-full of characterful pubs and small independent shops.
