We just checked out after a five-week stay on business, and have nothing but praise for this aparthotel. It’s extremely central – right in the very heart of Edinburgh’s New Town, and just one block from George Street and two blocks from Princes Street, so fantastic for shopping, eating, nightlife etc (had there been any – our timing was a victim of covid-closures, unfortunately). We had a one-bedroom suite, which was perfect for two – large bathroom, well-laid-out kitchenette area and large living area. Kitchen had oven, hob top, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine, so very handy – and Sainsburys, Tesco and M&S Food Hall within a short walk makes it easy to shop and cook in-room. Other reviews have mentioned the parking – manoeuvring in and out of the car lift can be a bit of a challenge, but with reasonable parking skills, it’s fine. On the other hand, it’s a really secure underground parking space at a very reasonable cost, so well worth a bit of manoeuvring here and there! The hotel is quiet, warm and very clean, and General Manager Khaled and Guest Services Manager Queenie are excellent – friendly and efficient, they were always there to help and extremely quick to respond to any questions. This is truly a little gem, and we’ll definitely be back on future visits to Edinburgh!…
Frankly, this venue is not as good as it was but it’s still good. Location is great, although be warned that you need a small car to access the underground car park. Covid-19 processes make it a hands off experience from staff, it’s efficient but not a warm customer centric place. Apartments are ok, if a bit faded. This maybe sounds worse than it is, it’s fine but not great.
If you are ‘lucky’ enough to be at the back of the building beware the bins that are constantly being dragged up and down the cobbles until 2am and then the Large glass bins being emptied from 8am each morning! This noise will shake you to your core and have you up from first thing!! Most definitely cheap & cheerful (minus too much cheer)! However great location for stags & hens! Avoid if you want a good nights sleep & somewhere inviting to relax :/
The aparthotel was exactly what we needed at the end of a week exploring the highlands, with washing machine and cooking facilities and comfortable sofa and great bath & shower. Great location to explore Edinburgh from. Car parking is tricky but manageable. TVs were both good size but a tad old; could do with some sort of smart TV service so guests can enjoy Netflix or Disney+ or other on-demand services. Otherwise furnished with everything you need and even comes with dishwasher and washing tablets which was a nice touch
Just a wonderful location and management. Khaled has his crew are super helpful and kind. The one bedroom is perfect for a short or long term stay and is in walking distance of many great spots! I have been traveling to Edinburgh for 6 years and wish I found this place a long time ago. Yes, it’s a basic apartment but has everything you need. Secure entrance from the outside and walkable to a grocery store, coffee shops plenty of pubs and cafes. Pretty much all the touristy things to do as well. The price is very good especially if you are staying longer.
