Set in a quiet crescent to the north of Edinburgh this grand old house appears about 300 years old. It seems to be built on a hillside so the walk up the back stairs from the private car park might be a bit daunting with loads of luggage and/or kids. The easy answer is to park on the road outside...

This little gem is a super cute property with comfortable beds, secure parking and free breakfast included. The owner was so friendly and approachable. Very close to the Edinburgh castle if you are in Scotland for sight seeing. Also a great little fish and shop just around the corner if you are looking for a low key night in. I...

We arrived at the hotel just after check in to find the door locked! After about 5 mins of knocking, someone appeared to let us in. Our room was very dated, 4 single beds with honey pine furniture. Everything was a bit tired & worn. It was clean though. The place is enormous and like a rabbit warren, doors and...

This " Hotel" is trapped in a time warp, reminded me of an old style B&B. Our bedroom looked like a bad DIY project and it's bathroom had several different levels of floor, the bedding was faded and the twin beds were old and quite small. More the sort of place for groups on Stag and Hen parties judging by...

I stayed here with a tour group for Hogmanay this past year and really enjoyed it! My room was clean and cozy- although the bathroom door was a little bit questionable and didn't really shut. I enjoyed that the hotel was just our tour group, and the breakfast was FANTASTIC. The staff were great, we loved chatting with Alex. The...

We brought 33 students here on a residential visit to Edinburgh over Half Term. The owner was wonderfully hospitable with endless patience, and was happy to accommodate some moving around of rooms when we arrived! The rooms themselves were clean, tidy and fine for our group to use as a base for our stay. It is downhill from the city...

I booked a single room for 55£ per two nights. The location is not in the old town but it is close to the city centre (15 minutes by walking crossing restaurants and english pubs). Breakfast was included and in addition coffee, tea and biscuits self service in the room. I cannot forget the kidness of the owner. I could...

Had I known beforehand what kind of place this "hotel" was no way that I could have approached this place from a mile, let alone sleeping here - that horrible and disgusting this place is, in my opinion. I only stayed here in between other booked places that I have booked in a very busy period in town. This is...
