We were up for the rugby and using the usual website searches found he Riccarton Inn, at £45 per night (breakfast extra) we booked a twin room, very comfortable and very good value, near a number of other pubs and eateries and we would definitely stay again if back in Edinburgh

This is a fabulous place for lunch. When we arrived were told that the food will take a while to come as the kitchen was very busy, however we didn't wait too long for the food to arrive. The macaroni cheese was fantastic. The fish looked more like a whale and came with an very light and fluffy batter. The...

First visit to the Riccarton Inn since before Christmas and unfortunately it was a bit disappointing from previous visits. Firstly the serving times have been pulled back to last orders at 8.30. The food we had was great, but only after our first choice of starters and mains were off the menu because they ran out of applewood cheese for...

Friends and I had been out walking in the nearby Pentland Hills and at the end of the walk went into the Inn for drinks/coffee. We went to a vacant table in the bar area (tiled floor) but were told that we couldn't sit there unless we were ordering food (which we weren't). We then went to the back of...

We had lunch at the Riccarton Inn. It has an extensive and interesting menu. The beef and haggis pie was exceptional!! Also the selection of cask beers looked very inviting. The service was friendly and pretty quick. There is parking at the rear and disabled access. Definitely a place to go back and visit when on the south side of...

We only had lunch here but it was really nice, friendly staff and nice food. The first time we went, there were no tables free, which was a good sign that it was a nice place to eat. Really enjoyed it all.

We arrived late and so did have dinner. The room was small and the bathroom very small but adequate for one night. The full Scottish breakfast was excellent and the service good. Good location and value for money.

Four adults, a toddler and a baby were pleasantly welcomed to the Inn and quickly guided by staff to a table through the back. We ordered lunch which arrived without fuss by very nice staff(thank you Julie) and the food was very good pub food. Cajun chicken burger, Steak pie and two cornfed chicken with two rounds of drinks and...
