Stayed for 2 nights with 4 other ladies on our annual pre-Christmas treat. Staff were excellent; very friendly and helpful. Although the hotel is slightly away from the centre, there is a direct bus that drops on Prince's Street in the city centre. We walked the journey on a coup

We have stayed for 3 nights and absolutely loved this hotel, the bedrooms are smallish but beautifully designed and spotlessly clean. Comfy bed , wonderful restaurant and evening meals, breakfast and bar.
Staff could not do enough to help.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for the first time recently.
It is nicely situated: close to the shops and facilities of Morningside, and very near a bus stop which will get you into the centre of the city easily.
On arrival at 3:20pm, we were advised that the room was not

how do I get to hotel by bus from Edinburgh city centre?
From Waverley railway station in the centre of Edinburgh it is a short walk to Princes St where you can catch bus no 11 (every ten minutes) which will bring you to approx 100 meters from the hotel main entrance

how do I get to hotel by bus from Edinburgh city centre?
Good Afternoon. The bus to the Hotel is the Number 11 bus. If you get to Princess Street and stand on the opposite side of the shops with the castle to your left and look at the bus shelter displays. These tell you what buses depart from that particular bus stop. The display screen will tell you what time the bus is expected and what buses depart from that bus stop. The cost is £1.60 exactly as the buses do not give change. Take the bus past Morningside and exit the bus at the first stop directly after the shell petrol station. There is a concrete staircase directly in front of the bus stop that will lead you directly to the Hotel car park. I think it best to ask the bus driver to let you know when your stop is due.

I am not too sure if there are any serious facilities for children at this hotel. Regarding early check in, here is what happened to me; I had called the hotel from Glasgow, requesting for an early check in, and to my surprise, I was told that I could check in at 11 am !! So we took the 9.30 am train to Edinburgh (skipping our shopping plans at Glasgow) to reach the hotel around 1130 am. Then came the shocker...reception lady said someone from the restaurant probably answered my phone call and gave incorrect information, and that an early check in was not possible as the guests would leave only by 12 noon. Check in starts only at 3 pm, but they would consider my case, I was assured. However, we were able to check in at 1.15 pm, after taking a short walk outside the hotel and lunch at their restaurant.
