Emmaus house provided the perfect place to stop after a couple of days at the British open and venturing around in Edinburgh. It is a short pleasant walk to the busy centre and train stations. Wonderful breakfast was provided, both food and conversation. I am not of a religious faith and this was never an issue. I would highly recommend...

We had a wonderful time staying at Emmaus. Staff was great, place was great. And a terrific location. We loved the food and especially the breakfasts. Staff was not only helpful but we had some good chats as well. The front room is beautiful and warm. And it was so easy to get anywhere in the city from there

Facilities and staff welcome far exceeded my expectations. Simple breakfast included. Supper can be arranged for a fee. Near many buses. Conversations at meals priceless! Great prayer house and garden. Staff helped me navigate bus system and new tram to airport. Also sent me to a great church experience on Sunday. Loved my stay there.

We had five very pleasant nights at this B&B, nice clean rooms, comfortable beds, reasonable prices and not least a very friendly and helpful staff. A rich breakfast is served at a shared table were you get the chance to make new aquaintances. I...

Emmaus House in Edinburgh is special; special because of its welcoming ambiance and the way the religious life of the community flows quietly on without excluding guests of no faith like me. I stayed for five nights. As an older person travelling solo I particularly enjoyed the communal meals at the large kitchen table. The house is peaceful (no TV in...

We enjoyed our stay at Emmaus House very much. This B& B is very close to city. plenty of public transport nearby. The staff at Emmaus are very friendly and helpful. It is run by a spiritual group, but in no way do they make you feel you have to join in with their philosophies or prayer time. Breakfast is...

Wasn't quite sure to expect in terms of the religious emphasis and also shared bathroom. Just to confirm there is absolutely no pressure to take part in the prayers and my husband (the atheist) was more than comfortable here. The room (7) was lovely and looked out onto the back of the house and labyrinth. The shared bathroom was immediately...
