Only stayed for one night, but it was a lovely clean hotel with very comfy beds! Loved the fact you could request a different style duvet / pillows if you wanted to. Good power shower. Breakfast buffet offered a lot, pretty impressive! Great central location too.

Life's pretty good when your hotel's on the Royal Mile, across from a cool pub with live music, the concierge wears a kilt and gives the well-appreciated tip to visit the Jolly Judge and after long, fun-filled days and evenings, you can sink into the most comfortable beds ever.

This is hotel is located in a very good area of Edinburgh, close to the castle and shopping areas. Radisson is a hotel chain used by the masses, they do offer very good service but the rooms are often worn down. In this particular hotel our room was indeed worn down, dark and almost sad as a room but spacious...

Fantastic hotel situated bang in the middle of the Royal Mile. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel so welcome. When it was quickly ascertained by Wil Harrington, Duty Manager, that we were there for a two day birthday treat for me we were upgraded to a Superior room which was beautiful. The best feature of the...

I stayed here as part of a company off-site meeting. The conference rooms were better than average, and my room on the third floor was comfortable, new and spacious. The food has all been good. So, a very comfortable feeling hotel, clean, pleasant, and superbly located for central Edinburgh. Chain hotel, and consequently perhaps a little soulless, but does better...

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in business class room on the 4th floor views were good, and must pay tribute to one of the staff Niamh on reception who was most helpful as my wife was not very well on the first day and did not leave the room for breakfast or visit the sights in Edinburgh

Living in Edinburgh, it's not often we get the chance to see the city through a tourists eye, so when my husband suggested a night in the Radisson, I jumped at it! The hotel is deceiving from the outside, as it looks small, but it is really spacious. We were welcomed by Ivea and Will, who were friendly and professional....

Just returned from a weekend stay after wanting something close within walking distance to most of the town but without paying a fortune. We usually go for 5 star only but are really pleased we chose to stay here. Pros - Located directly in the middle of the Royal Mile amongst all the cafes, bars and old town shops -...

Came here using a voucher we bought from itison. Very easy to book and place was easy to find. Inside was lovely, modern and clean. Staff were friendly and attentive. Our afternoon tea was really nice with tasty savoury sandwiches and crisps then lots lovely cakes to follow. Would definitely come back and recommend to others.

Staying in Old Town

Neighbourhood Profile
Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly visitors, tartan-flavoured souvenir shops, and pipers that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the royal palace – two of Edinburgh’s great set-piece attractions. But there’s lots more exploring to do here down dozens of little alleys, or wynds, while at night the city’s busiest clubs erupt along the Cowgate which is closed to traffic for this purpose.
