Being 2 grandmothers with two grandsons, we needed accommodations not provided in your standard hotel. St Margaret's cottage was perfect for us. Spotlessly clean with comfortable beds for everyone. A garden where the boys could throw a ball after dinner. A short walk to #44 bus and twenty minutes later we were in downtown Edinburgh. Groceries could be found not...

I found this place via the Visit Scotland website and decided to make a booking. It was only afterwards, on my way to the B&B that I realized I hadn’t checked Tripadvisor for any guest comments as I usually do. No need to worry though, as it turned out to be a very nice B&B. I was originally supposed to...

For a business trip I spend one night in Edinburgh at St. Margaret's. I had a very clean and cosey room with all the comfort you need. Christine the owner is a very nice and friendly person. The breakfast was great with everything you may expect for a good Scottish meal.

The double bedroom was very cozy, comfortable and clean. It was provided with everything we needed. Christine is a wonderful hostess and she made us a delicious breakfast in the morning (with eggs, bacon, toast, fresh fruits etc.). There's a busstop within short walking distance and there are restaurants and pubs nearby. We would definitely recommend this B&B to other...

First impressions were excellent, the room and ensuite were spotless, fresh and warm. The little touches I found extremely nice- biscuits, shampoo's etc .. Owners went the extra mile by phoning local councils about bus services to the airport and taxis, whilst taking their own time by personally showing me the bus stop. The only negative aspect was the direct...

The double bedroom with ensuite facilities were excellent. The bathroom/Toilet was immaculate. The landlady Christine and her husband Ted were amazing.Mrs Brian even sorted out my washing and Ironing for me which was way beyond what I would expect from a B&B. Infact she dropped me off a few times at work. Her husband TED showed me the Botanical Gardens in...

I with my Bro stayed at St Margaret's during the busy month of August this year. We were there for a weekend to witness the Edinburgh summer fest. We failed to make prior accommodation arrangements; fortunately found a room available at the St Margaret's. I absolutely loved the hospitality of Mrs Brayan. Beautiful and tidy room will all amenities. Wonderful...
