After four nights in a cramped hotel room in London, our front-facing room at Elderfields was palatial! At first we were a little worried we weren't in the right place because there's no obvious "guesthouse" sign in the front and it's located on a quiet, residential street, but Maureen greeted us at the door with a warm welcome. She serves...

Pretty good location for exploring Edinburgh on foot! Quaint / Lovely old fashioned and well maintained B&B run by a lovely old lady! Fantastic breakfast! Great fruit spread! Cold meats and cheese and toast, fresh coffee - just lovely! Plenty of character!

Nice owner. My mom seemed to connect with her about some art stuff. Easy parking for our rental car but super long walk to the Royal Mile. If you don't plan to use the bus be sure to plan on this long walk!

We visited Elderfields Guest House last winter and had a great time. The Guest House is located near the base of the Royal Mile and very close to Holyrood Palace. We were able to walk almost anywhere. I was visiting with two friends and we stayed in the three person room on the top floor. The room was very clean...

I stayed here for a night along with my parents and had the best time. We wish we could have a lot longer. The place was so beautiful and very clean with all the amenities you could ask for. The location was fantastic and walking distance to everything. I stayed in a small double room and was perfect for a...

What a lovely place to spend our last 2 nights in the UK. We arrived in Edinburgh much earlier than anticipated and took the chance to stop by the guesthouse early to unload our bags and park the car. Maureen received us graciously. We were delighted to be staying in her wonderfully decorated historic house and really happy to have...

I inquired for 7 nights and got offered a special rate "stay 7, pay six" which I gladly accepted. Elderfields Guest House is on a quiet little street, 15 minutes on food from Holyrood Palace and 5 minutes on foot from all major bus lines. It was a pity that there were not any restaurants in immediate vicinity, but this...
