This hotel cancelled my booking yesterday prior to visiting Edinburgh tomorrow because of a leak in room which is fair enough. However having booked via LateRooms.com and it being within the 2 day cancellation period, I was still being charged! Spoke to the hotel who refused to call LateRooms.com and advise them that it was them who had cancelled my...

My husband and I stayed two nights in this lovely guest house. The entrance hall was very warm and welcoming and Ann provided us with all the information we needed to get around Edinburgh by public transport . The bus stop was outside the door and extremely convenient for us. Our room was very cosy and tastefully decorated , the...

Our host, Ann, was wonderful and very kind. She cooked a great breakfast every morning. Cheese selections, quiche, dry cereal, fruit, and porridge were all available before the hot breakfast. There was a full menu of choices. The best was her eggs and toast! Some of the best breakfast I've had! Our room was very comfortable, and was always well...

Just spent one night at the end of a 3 week vacation. As small but beautifully decorated room. Cold day great heat. Landlady extremely helpful. Wonderful breakfast and a final cup of tea before I left. So helpful. Will be back.

A very lovely guest house with very nice owners, Ann and Jim ☺ ! We stayed there a few days and our room was just perfect : nicely decorated, spacious and with our own bathroom. We had a front room on the ground level, it was big, comfortable and facing the street, with a large bow-window and we honestly weren’t...

Very nice room with en suite bathroom. The staff were very nice and the breakfast was the best I've had. They cook your breakfast for you when you order it in the morning, and you can choose between different options. There's a bus stop right outside the house and the bus journey is 25 minutes into central Edinburgh. We really...

This place is fabulous, you have the crazy hustle and bustle of the city and then you go back to your room for peace and tranquillity. Hospitality was wonderful my daughter and I felt so at home here and we can't wait to return :) :). We stayed in the family suite and it was so comfy and cosy x

Emerald Guest House is tidy, family friendly, and the owner, Ann O'Connor, is very helpful and amazingly hard working. The family room we were staying in was comfortable, cosy and nicely decorated. We could park easily in the street though there are only three lots available in front of the guesthouse. The next day, Ann prepared for us a good...

This was a great find. The house is right at a bus stop. We had a car and never had any problem with street parking. Ann & Jim do an excellent job caring for their guest. If you like to explore all day and return to a nice quiet room at night Emerald House is for you. I could go...

We were so fortunate to stay at the Emerald House on the last two days of our Scotland visit last month! Ann is a delightful woman and very helpful guiding us to the fifteen minute bus ride into the center of Edinborough. Her breakfast is amazing ranging from the traditional full breakfast to scrambled eggs with salmon and a delicious...
