I stayed here for 3 nights this week as a female travelling alone, and found Balmuirfield House to be everything I had hoped for. My room was spacious and warm, with a very comfortable bed and a lovely deep bath to unwind in at the end of the day. The location just out of town in a quiet location, led...

Overnight stay along with our dog. Efficient booking with prompt response to enquiry. Very warm welcome. Lovely comfortable room and delicious breakfast. We would definitely stay again and for longer next time.

Enjoyed our 2 nights stay here with our dog - despite the rains! The location is outside of Dundee, peaceful, plenty of parking for cars, lovely grounds / gardens. The hosts were attentive, a very lovely family. Our room was very spacious. Bathroom had shower over bath - but water pressures adequate, but not strong. Breakfasts were very good.

Stayed here recently and would highly recommend this guest house. The room was absolutely lovely. The food was superb and the guest house owners, very friendly and helpful. A little out of town, but that is perfectly fine. Lovely and peaceful.

I stayed two nights at Balmuirfield House, I travelled alone (48 year old female), working my way up through Britain from London to see my son in St Andrews. As Dundee is fairly close by, I checked Trip Advisor to see what kind of B&B:s there were on offer: I headed for the one ranked as No 1.in Dundee. And...

A superb location for ease of exploring Dundee and the surrounding environs. Every aspect of this B&B was genuinely based in unstinting hospitality. Host Stuart exemplifies the best of proprietors who make sure your experience is top of the range. This was demonstrated to us in many ways including that extra bit of delivery such as a Crepe Suzette for...

We stayed one night at Balmuirfield on our trip to Scotland. It is near a main road and school but isolated out of the way and in some quiet grounds. The house is old but very well maintained with excellent decor. The shortcoming was that there is no evening meal so a 10 minute drive to a pie and steak...

This is a great hidden gem on the edge of Dundee with a charming rural feel to it. Stuart was wonderfully welcoming; the rooms were decorated with excellent style, were comfortable and very clean. Awesome bathroom (could have done lengths of the antique bath it was so big!); breakfast was incredible - great choice of cooked breakfast including four different...

Four of us (two couples) stayed for just one night, but we should have done more. This is a real hidden gem on the outskirts of Dundee that is superbly decorated and furnished, with tremendous hosts to match. We had two four-poster beds in extremely well appointed rooms, there was a guest lounge and lovely dining room, Despite being extremely close...

Lovely quiet location, very tastefully decorated, friendly welcome and fabulous breakfast. Stuart and Morag run a B&B to be proud of. The room was spacious and well equipped. The roaring fire in the lounge made just the place for a quiet night cap.
