Chosen because it is the only Accor property in town, it all says it in the name. It is a budget hotel pretty much in the middle of nowhere adjacent to the A90 far from the town centre, very inconvenient without a car, but if you have your own transport it is good value for money. Staff are very nice, rooms fit the purpose, nothing to complain about but no fond memories to cherish either. On the plus side, soundproofing is very good, no disturbing noise from the adjacent busy road.

For 41.40 Pounds, and especially at the fact that I am a Platinum Status Accor Live Limitless (ALL) member, I was disappointed.
Regardless of status, there is no reward to one's loyalty to AccorHotels in this hotel. No complimentary breakfast. Platinum Status or not being an ALL member at all, there isn't a difference. For my entire time in Scotland, after this experience, I chose to stay in Travelodge all the way till the end - almost half the price of Ibis Budget, and for the same thing.

Pros:
Clean room, clean sheets, clean bathroom. A comfortable stay. Welcoming service too.

Cons:
The Wifi wasn't working.
At least, in Travelodge, for 25 Pounds, I'd get free wifi for half an hour, and exactly what Ibis offered here.

I've got no complaints. It was a comfortable stay. But I stuck with Travelodge throughout our Scotland travels after this. Why would I pay 15 Pounds more for the same thing, especially with a Platinum ALL status?

Used for an overnight stay to go to an event in Dundee. Easy to get a taxi there and back, takes about 10 minutes. 24 hr garage and a Subway right next door to hotel.
Staff were very welcoming and helpful.
Hotel is very very basic, it really does have the bare minimum, but the rooms were decent & the beds comfy. It looks like an old travelodge, the carpets have seen better days, but they're well hoovered & the bathrooms could do with a wee spruce up. There were soap dispensers in bathroom by the sink & shower but they were completely empty, I think toiletries have been provided in the past but not anymore. Overall its clean & functional & we would stay again if on the area.

We booked this due to its proximity to St Andrews and price. Unfortunately the price should have been the warning we were going to get exactly what we were paying for. Absolutely filthy carpeting that was also old and stretched leaving ripples that are a trip hazard. No bath mat. Mold in the bathroom and mold in the corners of the room. Dirty windows. Looking out our window was an overgrown mess. The overhead light just flickered and couldn’t be used. So, the room was pretty dark. No maid service on our first full day. The next day we just got a towel refresh. To cleaning of any kind was done. Had to ask for a fan, a hair dryer, and an iron since they weren’t in the room. The front desk staff was very polite and accommodating. That was the only plus. The location is far from the Dundee city center but there is a phone in the lobby that will connect you to a taxi company. There isn’t much close by that you can walk to either.

Had booked for a one night stay before moving onto a wedding the next day. Our room carpet was filthy with build up of dust and hair. We thought the hair may have been from a dog. The room obviously hadn’t been hoovered in months. We complained to the receptionist to be met with can’t understand it housekeeping has already been it and there’s been no dog in this room ! She brought through a Henry upright hoover stating we’d need to vacate the room if she were to hoover it ? We eventually hoovered the carpet ourselves. At no time were we offered an apology which we felt was shocking and is basic customer service. Staff retraining needed as an apology would have completely defused the whole situation.

I stayed in the Ibis budget Hotel for 4 nights. I traveled alone and it had everything I needed. King size bed, huge room, en-suite bath/shower, kettle, hairdryer and iron on request. Clean sheets and towels so can’t be faulted. Leonine was amazing and the cleaning lady was more than willing to help with anything extra I needed.

Four night break and couldn't fault from start to finish.
Quick check in on arrival from friendly and welcoming staff.
Room 14 was ideal and though facing busy carriageway was sufficiently quiet.
Spacious room with powerful shower and bath.
Thanks to the staff for indicating walks nearby for accompanying westie and for putting up with our frequent late morning walks.old dog syndrome..both of us!
Certainly visit again.

Thanks especially to Leonie.

When we arrived we were asked to pay for the two rooms, even though we said we thought we’d already paid.
Once we’d unpacked, we found the original payment details, returned to Reception, only to be told that they would need to speak to the manager when she was next in.
Two days later, as we were leaving, we checked on the progress of our refund for the second payment, which was c. £10 more than the original one. Nothing had been done.
Since returning home, we have made several attempts to effect reimbursement but have not yet been successful. It’s amazing how ‘unavailable’ staff can be in this situation.
It’s a shame as the rooms were perfectly adequate to our needs, but this experience suggests it is not a ‘budget’ hotel at all.

I stayed at ibis Budget Dundee Camperdown for two nights, just myself and my dog, for a wee break away. We received a lovely warm welcome from the receptionist, Elizabeth, as soon as I opened the door. She explained all that any guest would need to know and gave clear directions to my room. The room was a perfect size, extremely clean and with all the facilities you would expect. The carpets in the room were a wee bit tatty and faded, but for a budget hotel, you can’t expect luxury and they were still very clean. I have family in Dundee, so I know the area, but I would have had no reservations asking the reception team for directions, or for anything at all that I might need. Elizabeth always made a big fuss of my greyhound, which made her feel so at home- she loved it! Fantastic area for dogs, with Camperdown Park more or less directly behind the hotel. I would recommend this hotel to absolutely anyone. Friendly, clean, comfortable and with great connections to the wider area. What’s not to like?

Very Clean rooms, stairs/foyer. As it says Budget so.. very basic. Nice staff. A bit out the beating track for non car drivers. No restaurant/bar, but there's a subway directly opposite (If you like that sort of thing). Wi-Fi was a bit patchy as was the tv channels on some stations.

Yes but they charge you extra. It’s right beside a large park so good for walks
