Quite disappointing. Although the lady was friendly, it was not very welcoming. In need of some modernisation as now very dated. Beds were very very hard and neither of us did not sleep very well. Breakfast was good though but not very relaxing.

Eat at the Lime Tree on Friday evening - simply delicious. Approx. 6/8 mins. walk from Centre of Moffat and worth every step. Lovely welcome and the food was freshly cooked and delicious. Restaurant fully booked, which did not affect the service or quality in any way. If we revisit Moffat, we will certainly include this restaurant again. BRILLIANT. (Only... More

From the moment we arrive to the moment we left nothing could have been better. This was stop 1 on our tour of Scotland and a wonderful place to start. The room was spacey with a full tea, coffee tray although only one hot chocolate and one packet of biscuits. The bed was ver comfy and the shower very hot.... More

Lovely secluded location overviewing Moffat, very welcoming hosts who clearly enjoy their "job". Makes all the difference. Nice evening meal and ample breakfast. Easy to reach from motorways makes it a perfect stopover en route to Scotland, but definitely worth a stay in its' own right.

This was a nice accommodation in a grand, old stone building overlooking the countryside. There are parking spaces for guests, and the town of Moffat is an easy walk down through the neighborhood. The hotel is also has an intimate, very highly rated restaurant. We opted to go into town but others had good reviews at breakfast the next morning.... More

6 of us stayed for three nights whilst attending the moffat car rally. We found it to be a truly amazing experience. A wonderful historic building. Our bedrooms were extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean. The breakfasts were faultless. We've already re booked for next year.

What a find, I often travel between Yorkshire and Edinburgh and look for a hotel part way. I usually. Use gretna but found this one a few miles further up the road. What a location! Wonderful views, really friendly and a great price. Delighted and coming back
