Our one night stay was a very pleasant stopover on the way down South. The hotel allows dogs and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The facilities were good, the room was nice and everything was clean.

Our 3rd stay here and the hotel offers comfort, tranquility and an excellent location. Car parking is good and the service is excellent. Not a severe criticism but the menu is somewhat limited and could do with a more varied choice rather than trying to go "upmarket" with the fancy drizzle options. Otherwise great.

The Moffat house hotel is just off the M6, and as such a ideal place for a nights rest when traveling North to Scotland. This is the second visit in the last twelve months. The evening meal in the restaurant and breakfast was very good. I feel that this could be a standard stop in future.

Moffet House Hotel is a beautiful looking hotel and promises much from the outside. Sadly the inside is a major let down. The bar / restaurant area is tired, and our bedroom looked like a throw back to the 1970's. Cannot really find any redeeming features.

Stayed here for just one night, and as travelling alone booked a single room. While it was cheap, it was tiny and a little basic, but everything worked fine. The staff were all pleasant and helpful, didn't have dinner in the restaurant, but did pay the extra £12.50 for breakfast, which was quite nice but nothing memorable. Overall, my stay... More

Have stayed here several times. Lovely hotel, lovely gardens, lovely position, staff very friendly & very helpful. Always had lovely room, very clean & comfortable. Difficult to think of a negative comment apart from the dinner menu. Not very exciting! Delicious Scottish breakfast.

Only stayed one night on our way back from the highlands and from the outside the hotel looks lovely. The reception, bar and restaurant are really nice but the bedrooms are very tired. The wall paper above the door was peeling, the paintwork on the doors and frames are peeling and rotted. The shower in room 8 took ages to... More

Excellent venue, good service and food.Room was clean and comfortable. Ideal for an overnight stop on my way to the Highlands. Would have liked more time to explore Moffat from this base. The setting is ideal and it is very close to the M74/A74 to Glasgow.

No one was clearing the tables in the garden - heaped with dity plates and glasses 3. Smallest fish... More
