We had a group of Germans over for a wedding nearby. Leslie and Paul could not do enough for us. the couple also run a taxi business so Paul picked up all our guests in a minibus from Edinburgh and deposited them back to the airport a few days later. There is a large Lounge which we were allowed to...

Ring ahead to let them know when you are going to arrive as Paul runs a taxi business as well and he can make sure he is there to welcome you when you arrive if his partner is not available. All staff were very pleasant and friendly offering advice where needed. There was soap in the bathroom but you can...

We had messed the hotel about, having to cancel other rooms because of our friends having to pull out of the trip. The owners were still, however, very very friendly & welcoming. Our room was small & in need of refurbishment...

Paul and Leslie could not do enough for you, providing refreshments on arrival and always available with a friendly smile to offer advice on the local area. Probably one of the best breakfasts I've had whilst in Scotland too! Excellent value for money and a real home away from home.

We recently stayed at The Bonnington completely by accident, as our booking at another B&B was cancelled at short notice and the owner kindly booked us a bed here instead. However, it was definitely a happy accident! The Bonnington is a charming, friendly and clean hotel with lovely hosts. The delicious cooked breakfasts (meat and veggie) were a real highlight....

Paul and Lesley were fabulous hosts; made us feel very welcome from the very start; home from home. It rained a lot that weekend, but it was a pleasure to sit in the lounge and laugh with them. Would definitely recommend staying here! I live in Australia, but if I lived in England I would go often just for the laughs....

Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts Paul and Lesley, always pleased to help out, and offer directions to places, Lesley even booked a table in a local Italian restaurant for us one evening, and offered to dry out our wet walking gear...
