Location and grounds great, building and approach nice and promising, food in general good, and amount, most Staff also good. Rooms (we booked two twins) decor poor, scuff marks and marks on walls and ceiling, bedside lamp not working, in Daughters room both not working, shower force of water ok on cold, for warm only a trickle of water. This hotel looks the part with plenty of character, however there are some major problems which are not immediately apparent until you get to your room. We had one of the refurbished rooms and although it was nicely decorated and had all the usual facilities, it still had some work required to bring it up to the standard you would...

We had a 2 night stay in June this year, for a friends wedding, which was at another hotel. Check in was smooth and hassle free, the room was nothing special, but it was more than adequate. the bar area is getting a bit tired looking, we only used the dining room for breakfast, which was a buffet. there was...

Stayed with friends in June for one night. Good big place with plenty of parking. Receptionist was friendly & helpful. Rooms were what you would expect of a place this size, although you could get lost finding the room. There was a wedding taking place so we ate in the Bar. Food was average quality & reasonably priced for an...

We overnighted here on our way to Ullapool as part of a coach party. The hotel was very busy that Sunday night with 3 coach parties staying. We were greeted efficiently and allocated our rooms quickly although, understandably, our cases took a while to arrive. The room was spacious and well equipped. The bar was reasonable although with a limited...

We stayed here for 1 night en route to Scotland. It was a little shabby in places but looking past that the important things were all there. Lovely comfy beds, tea, coffee and toiletries provided in the room which was very clean. The food was excellent and plentiful and it was lovely and peaceful.
