we have been coming to this hotel for over 10yrs, my sons first visit was at 3 days old, fantastic setting, helpful and friendly staff, fantastic food, not lost its originality in a world full of modernisation and updates. A great meeting place for familly groups, a place to make new friends and see them year on year, which can...

Just visited the Cally Palace as a guest at a family wedding. Lovely venue set in beautiful grounds. The Venue caters very well for a larger group of people. Food was lovely and service at the wedding breakfast was very good. Facilities at the hotel are very good. Only thing we would say is at the evening reception there was...

Always an excellent Hotel to visit and for us a home from home. However, minor disappointment from our many previous stays. Was saddened to hear that on arrival you no longer place a sherry in the room which was a nice touch to come back into after the golf whilst preparing for dinner. Which was another point always appreciated that...

I have been visiting Cally Palace annually for the past 30 years so I am quite qualified to properly assess the hotel. I last reviewed these premises in 2011. I have today (01.04.2016 ) returned having spent a half term break with my children and grandchildren. One family stayed in room 125 a very spacious suite immaculately furnished and decorated....

We spent 1 night in a large room at the front of the main house overlooking the golf course and wonderful sweeping views beyond. We stayed here many years ago and I was worried that time would not have been kind. I was pleased to find that it has been maintained to a high standard. Carpets, furnishings, paintwork, gardens etc...

On a Spring weekend with clear blue skies the views are magnificent from the front of the hotel over the lochs, the golf course, and onwards to the Galloway hills . The golf package is very reasonable and the course quite challenging enough for a weekend break. The staff in many cases have been there for years, a good sign,...

A first class country House Hotel for guests with Mobility difficulties. recommended particularly for MS sufferers if not too advanced, In particular I draw attention to the large bedrooms on the ground floor of the main building and also the width of the corridors which are so "user-friendly" for wheel chair, Zimmer Frame or "walker" users. I also draw attention...

First the Good Part: 1. The level of Customer Service was outstanding. Staff in all roles go the extra mile to make your stay as comfortable as possible. You really feel welcome. This is our second visit to a McMillan Hotel and the same was true the first time. They do set a lot of store by Customer Service. 2....

We had a fantastic long weekend here. Read some reviews where people were criticising the decor in some of the rooms. I didn't find this a problem at all - it's part of the atmosphere to the victorian surroundings. The rooms are currently being renovated but the character of the place is amazing. Immaculately clean, huge rooms, your bed's even...
