We enjoyed a lovely stay at the Glenaldor House on December 18.The city of Dumfries was delightful, and we loved seeing the home of Robert Burns and having a beer in his favorite pub, the Globe. At the recommendation of our host, we had a great dinner at Cavan's restaurant after our walk around town. Our room had a fireplace,...

I'm so glad I found this B&B - it's absolutely lovely. A beautiful old house which has been tastefully decorated and felt clean and fresh. A good sized room and comfy bed! It's only a few minutes walk from the station so ideally placed for those travelling by train. Plus a short walk to Dumfries town centre - I did...

My partner and I stayed here for the weekend, the room was gorgeous and had a huge bathroom with fireplaces in each room. Breakfast was amazing and well worth getting up at 9am for. We had our own key so we could come and go as we please which was ideal seeing as we were out drinking. Overall this was...

Spent a couple of nights here, selected based on the TA feedback. No surprise Glenaldor is the top rated accom in Dumfries. First class. Luxuriously appointed room and an excellent breakfast. No parking issues whatsoever despite some comments to the contrary.

Me and my partner stayed here for the weekend while we were in the area. Room was warm and very clean couldn't ask for more. Only a 5 minute walk into town and close to train station. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone.

This is such a lovely place to stay if your travels take you into the Dumfries area. The owner, David, is the most helpful, friendly guy you could ever want to meet as we hit a few snags en route and needed a soft place to land. The hotel provides a hearty breakfast served on the first floor just off...
