Now firstly I'm not hard to please as I have stayed in some reasonable places that were not very expensive and really lovely , so I really don't like giving a bad review but I was really disappointed especially after reading good reviews on this site, and trip advisor about this hotel but no way should this be a 3...

I have been staying at the Aberdour Hotel for the past 3 weeks with a group of university students. It has been a lovely stay. Amanda, the proprietor of the hotel was absolutely amazing- very kind and accommodating in every way. My room was changed regularly, towels refreshed and things attended to. This hotel is well located- not far from...

Located close to the town centre, the Hotel was a stones throw away from the Big Burns Supper festival tent. The owners were both pleasant and made us feel welcome. Yes as other reviews have stated the Hotel could do with updating. The room however was clean with nice fresh sheets and although I slept well my partner commented on...

Nice clean hotel, close to the city centre but definitely in need of updating. Very small TV attached to wall with quite a few of the main channels unable to get a signal (this may be the area rather than the hotel). Shower cubicle very small. Lady (Amanda) who checked me in and made breakfast very helpful and hardworking. Didn't...

I had a wonderful stay here. The room was always warm and nice. I stayed for four nights and every night I would eat the biscuits you get with your tea etc and every night I came back from being out all day they were replaced!!! This was very nice to come back to. The breakfasts were Devine and the...

First impressions inside are not good at all, the place could do with a deep clean to rid it of a stale odour and totally refurbished. The breakfast room leaves a lot to be desired, bare tables, cold and dismal. The only good bit was the clean sheets and when we eventually got the radiators turned on. Free wifi but...

We spent only 1 night here after travelling from Leicestershire for a music event. We were greeted by friendly staff and nothing was too much trouble. The room was clean and comfortable, with en-suite bathroom and tea/coffee facilities. Breakfast was great too. The location is just yards from the train station, and a short walk from Dumfries town centre. I...

I booked to stay at this hotel for 5 nights. I am from Australia and after all the travel from Glasgow to Dumfries I went to go 'check in' at this hotel. I get to the door of the hotel at 3pm when check in time is 2pm and the door is locked, no ones there. I called more than...
