We have just returned from a couple of nights at the Castle Venlaw & had a lovely time. Full of character, log fires burning & great service, especially Emma who kept us supplied with drinks from the bar. Our evening meal & breakfast were delicious & Peebles is a lovely little town for a visit. Would definitely recommend if you...

On a visit to the international Scotland v Italy we decided to stay out of Edinburgh and came upon this lovely hotel. Extremely welcoming staff, room was comfortable, log fire in the bar area was exactly what was needed after a very wet journey. Excellent range of bottled beers or whiskies. Food was very good and homely, excellent portions and...

Excellent value, nice room with a very comfortable bed. Bar is a lovely place to spend an evening in front of the open fire with a glass of wine or dram. Relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff. Good breakfast with cooked option and granola and yoghurts. Will be back again!

Just back from the most wonderful two night stay for our anniversary. Loved the Hotel with it`s wonderful history. It`s not too big so you get that really lovely personal touch. We were up on the third floor in a lovely quiet room. We had booked for one nights dinner but decided to eat there for both nights. Breakfast couldn`t...

There is a warm welcome as your enter and the rooms are spacious with views of the hills from the upper floors. We had a huge double...
