Nice well maintained hotel. The main reason we picked it is because dogs are allowed. I can't give it a better rating because I have a lot of experience with luxury hotels, so that's where my very good and excellent ratings go- if they deserve it! We had a really nice dinner here and had a snack in the lounge-...

Many thanks for your feedback and exceedingly grateful for drawing our attention to the technical problems in the bedroom you stayed in. Now we have been made aware we have already had the television sorted and the wifi will be rectified very shortly; I am just sorry it had not been mentioned when you were here as we would have...

We wanted to find a hotel that looked stunning, was a bit different and had the luxury we crave for a restful weekend and this place has it all in abundance! We were greeted at the door, booked in and were shown to our room and WOW! What a room it was too - massive, luxurious with the biggest en...

We spent one night here to meet with my University student son a few days prior to his 21st birthday. He and his brother shared a twin room, both their room and ours were luxurious, well in the lovely lounge, and later enjoyed the complimentary whiskey in our bedroom. Breakfast excellent

We had a lovely short break at the start of our Easter holidays. We ate in the restaurant for our first evening and thoroughly enjoyed our meal, the little extras made it very special! Our room was spacious with a huge king size bed and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was fantastic, I'm sure we'll be back.

We booked here because they advertised as being dog friendly. We found this to be absolutely true with a warm welcome from all the staff we met to us and the dog. A water bowl at the door was a clear sign. Dogs are not permitted in the public rooms and restaurant of course which is as one would expect....

We only stayed one night as a stopover on long journey south. We will certainly return for a longer stay. Reminded us of the Roxburgh Hotel in Kelso. At least as good in all respects. Staff were all friendly discrete and very efficient. Room was very spacious and comfortable and rich decor and general ambiance all perfect. Food was excellent...

I don't know where to start. Approaching the hotel/castle I was mesmerized. Being from Texas I really haven't seen anything like this except for public tours. Our family is staying in the main house and we are staying in a back cottage. The cottage is perfectly outfitted. TV with built in Netflix, large living area, fantastic kitchen, hot tub on...

Friendly, professional staff, great food and service, we even had snow! Shared a cottage with a work colleague. Very peaceful and quiet but wifi stil worked. Only problem for me was that the bed was rock hard.
