Fabulous accommodation, ultra comfortable and stylish. Immaculately clean top quality bed and bath linen. Brilliant brekky, everything you could wish for, highly recommend Jilly's homemade rhubarb and ginger compote. Kind, caring, knowledgeable hosts with great insight into guests needs. You will love staying here!

This really was a special experience. Jilly and Manjit are warm and generous hosts who went out of their way to ensure we had a fantastic break - and we did. The Ghillie is exceptional accommodation...private, tranquil and immaculate throughout. Comfy bed...lots of thoughtful touches and plenty of space, Prieston House where the superb breakfasts are taken is a restoration masterpiece which we admired as we were pampered with great food. There were so many special and unexpected extras (wonderful cake and afternoon tea for one), great tips on what to do and where to go. Quite simply the best B and B we have ever stayed at. Highly recommended!

Where shall I start ? From that first phone call to greeting you on the drive, I knew we were in for a fascinating adventure with yourself and Elspeth….and you didnt disappoint. What a find! We could sadly only stay for one night, but Wow, what a place! The suite is beautiful and so clean with everything thought of. The location is stunning with plenty to do in the local area. The hosts are so kind and friendly, they really made our stay. Breakfast was such a treat! Already planning our next trip.

We stopped on our UK tour this past July to stay at The Ghillie for 1 night (love that this is possible!) and after a wonderful first night decided to extend for another night. The place was everything we needed to replenish our energy levels: beautiful, comfortable (the sitting room, the beds) and quiet. On top of that, we had wonderful chats with Jilly and Manjit who are the most gracious hosts and who offered us a welcome cream tea and drinks, and in the morning a delicious breakfast (I loved my oats with fresh berries and my husband his poached eggs with salmon, together with home-made granola, good coffee and oat milk) in their beautiful dining room. They don’t have dogs (another thing that I like), but cats and chickens that wander about the premises and leave guests alone. We will certainly be back!…

We had a lovely stay in this beautiful accommodation with a very warm welcome from the owners who served a delicious afternoon tea. The accommodation was spacious and beautifully decorated. Breakfast was served in a tastefully decorated dining room with a wide variety of tasty dishes. The grounds are beautiful with a very nice patio area. We would strongly recommend this accommodation. We had a lovely stay.

We had a wonderful stay at The Ghillie! Jilly welcomed us with a delicious home made afternoon tea and a glass of bubbly. She organised our taxi to and from our restaurant which was great. The accommodation is stunning, it worked really well as there was 3 of us looking to chill out, chat and get ready together and it was ideally suited for that. Jilly evening popped in evening snacks for our late night chats! Breakfast was so good, we ate far too much but loved it all. We would definitely recommend The Ghillie to anyone!

The Ghillie is not your standard bed and breakfast but an exceptional experience that starts from the moment you arrive. Jilly and Manjit were fantastic hosts and all the little extras make a stay at the Ghillie more like a stay at a private 5 star hotel. The afternoon tea and breakfast were fantastic whilst the accommodation cannot be faulted.A real gem in a wonderful part of the country.

From the moment we arrived at the Ghillie, we knew we were in for a treat! We were warmly welcomed by Manjit and Jilly, and after having a moment to settle in after the long drive, we were served with the best afternoon tea we have had! I had told Jilly that I am vegetarian and she had gone above and beyond to make sure I was catered for, but I am also told that her sausage rolls were amazing. Everything at the Ghillie is well thought out, and so much love is put into it. From the luxury furnishings, to the homemade biscuits and brownies left in your room, even a thoughtful text from Jilly just to say she hoped we had a nice time at a fantastic restaurant she had recommended. I honestly feel like there is nothing they wouldn't do to make sure their guests leave feeling relaxed and well and truly spoilt. We also really enjoyed their company, along with the chickens and cats. The house and the grounds are beautiful. I don't know how they find the time to do it all, but I am glad they do and that we got to indulge ourselves for the weekend. We would love to visit again, next time hopefully for longer!…
