We stayed at Heatherfirld House for one night... our first night in Scotland. We could not have wished for a warmer welcome. The guesthouse is beautifully decorated, clean and cosy. Breakfast was fantastic, by far the nicest we had on our five day trip. We were the only two people staying and would never have expected so much attention from...

we stayed here for a weekend. I think it was room 2. Lovely, bright and very clean room. Nice bathroom with roll top bath and nice local shampoos etc. Bed was very comfortable and there was a tea tray with cookies and lots of tea & coffee. The house was very nice and they have renovated it very well. As...

My wife & I visited Heatherfield House for the second time and stayed for 2 nights in Room 1 on the Ground Floor which is a very spacious superior double room with well appointed en-suite bathroom, and seaviews. We weren't disappointed - far from it - and if anything the standards have risen since our last visit. Gary has recently...

We spent one night here and would definitely stay again! This would be a good place to base yourself and do day trips. Lovely old house looking out over Oban and its harbor; my room was adorable, and oh-so-comfortable! The hosts are lovely, without being intrusive. There are stairs, but Gary was quite helpful with taking luggage up and down....

We have stayed twice at Heatherfield and the welcome from Gary & Sue is brilliant. Breakfast is perfect and the location is great for popping out the places to eat. Would write more but other reviewers have got the place spot on. Can't wait for another visit!

We stopped at Heatherfield for one night prior to crossing to Mull. The rooms are spotlessly clean and quite large for a B&B. Breakfast was very good and Gary, the owner, was very helpful. The only drawback is the parking which is on a steep gravelled slope and it was quite difficult to get out in the morning. Nevertheless I...

We stayed here whilst taking part in West Highland Yachting Week this year and we were very impressed by both the rooms and the service. The room was beautifully decorated with local toiletries in the ensuite and really nice touches like wine glasses and a bottle opener, very useful for a couple who enjoy a wee glass of wine in...

Arriving in Oban I was initially wondering if we had made the best choice for our last stop. Going up the hill on a narrow street we came to our last "home". Greeted by Gary, and his dry sense of humor, we were shown to our room right off the lobby. I am thinking not good, noisy, but my husband...

This B&B is very close (5 minutes) to the Oban promenade where are located restourants, cafes, shops and the Oban Distillery too!! Oban is a nice town situated in front of the Isle of Mull. This city is famous for the goodness of local shellfish; we have eaten it in a big restourant located on the peer and also in...

We stayed here before and after touring the Outer Hebrides. Everything is of high quality and the rooms are tastefully decorated. There are organic toiletries in the bathroom. The breakfast had a wide selection of local foods, including scrambled eggs with smoked salmon. We would recommend Heatherfield House to family and friends.

“We stayed in room 3 which was perfectly formed. For those wanting more room, room 1 is ideal as it has a sofa area & an overall larger room.”
  • Everything in the room was of the highest standard
  • Everything was thought of, even down to the bar of Cadburys chocolate
  • I fell in love with the beautiful dressing table in our room
  • Plenty of hanging space in the wardrobe, as well as dressing gowns and refreshment facilities.
  • The bathroom was perfectly formed and well stocked with Purdies toiletries
  • The view from our room looks over to Kerrera and Mull
