I absolutely recommend Thornloe house! We stayed in the 4-poster room with ocean views - and it was fabulous! A comfy sitting area in front of the big windows gave the perfect spot to enjoy in-room tea/coffee/sherry while looking over the harbor. Spectacular sunset views, as you can see from these pictures :) The bed was comfy, and all the...

An excellent quiet room on the top floor with fantastic views. Well appointed room with a comfortable large bed and with a superb shower in the spotless bathroom. Very good breakfast with a good choice. A patio area to sit out on and admire the marvellous scenery. A short walk to the shops and excellent restaurants and to the train...

Room was lovely, superb views, bed was sooooo comfy could have stayed in it all day. One of the best rooms we've stayed in.Hostess was lovely. Only criticism would be at breakfast time, I always think it would be nice to have a bit of background music on, or radio to break awkward silences between guests and more room between...

It was an absolute pleasure staying at Thornloe Guest House. The room was perfect, with the added bonus of a fantastic view across to Mull. Spotlessly clean, beautifully cooked breakfast, amazing views and a warm welcome! Everything you want from a bed and breakfast and on top of that amazing value! Thornloe is just lovely and a real home away from home! The only one point I would note to fellow travellers is that it is positioned quite a distance up the hill and whilst...

Thornloe Guest House is a lovely house, close to the centre of Oban but not on the main road. Our room was very spacious and had fantastic ocean view. En suite was good. Plenty to choose from on the breakfast menu and it was delicious. Highly recommended.

Beautiful view from the house and the place itself is gorgeous as well. Nice host and breakfast was homey. Room is clean and beautiful except that the room we had has quite strong paint/lacquer smell. It was bearable though. I'll still stay here again if I come back.
