Oban is lovely. Hotel a bit run down but it's 2star so not expecting the Hilton,,! The food was fine I had braised pork with veg very tender and desserts were good. Breakfast had cereals and fry up which was ok but on hot plates. Staff were all very efficient and pleasant. The smoking at the entrance needs to be...

While the location is excellent, the hotel is tired and in need of an upgrade. Bed was very comfortable, but TV did not work - could not be tuned in. Shower was ok but turning it off was a major challenge. Breakfast was excellent. Bar staff need to learn how to operate the till.

Staff very friendly and helpful but hotel needs a total make over. Shower door hanging off, bathroom area had holes in flooring and wifi is non existent even in reception area. Food was ok but bacon at breakfast could have been cooked a bit longer

I had a very average room but if you pay £38 b&b then come on.... Excellent lobby. Good breakfast. Stunning view from the front. An iconic 1930 style hotel. Don't worry about poor reviews - it is Great for the value

Lovely stay! Friendly staff! Comfy room! Great breakfast! Lovely and warm on a freezing cold night. Views superb from sea view rooms. Decor a bit tired but the service makes up for that. Sorry we didn't see kinga as she was on holiday

The room I stayed in was reasonable overall considering the age of the hotel with a huge bed, although unfortunately a major issue for me was the shower seemed to be stuck with cold water only, so I had to resort to using the bath instead. Either the temperature control for the shower was broken or I couldn't figure out...

Hotel was comfortable and close to where I was working .the staff were helpful but had to park in public car park across from hotel and it was a £1.00 per hour so it was lucky that I could park on site I was working at for free. The room was comfortable with a double bed and the amenities were...

We stayed in the Regent for two nights with friends. When reading the reviews prior to our visit I was a bit worried. Coming up the steps at the front there was a terrible smell of cigarettes which was a bit off putting. The decor in the hotel is a bit dated but the staff were very friendly. Our room...

If you're looking to step back in time, come here! It was like stepping back into the 1950s upon entering reception. No card system but keys for the rooms - annoying when you have a room mate who comes home at 2am!!!! Wifi is only really available in the reception area, but requires logging in with a long password if...
