Quirky, old fashioned, like stepping back in time! Also clean, functional and a cracking breakfast, but the absolute best part of our stay was the brilliant staff, especially Andrea who served our breakfast every day, what a diamond. I forgot my charger no problem borrow ours I forgot my swimsuit, here one here you can borrow, My dog was welcome...

Thus a really quirky hotel. It's from another age. The furniture is from the 1950s, the decor is old, there's steep stairs and the bannister rail shakes- yet the staff are very friendly and the breakfast good. The bed was hard but we had a good night's sleep. The shower us warm rather than hot. I never got round to...

I booked this hotel for 7th to 10th April after failing to get accommodation we were more familiar with. Then I read some of the reviews. I have to say that I was somewhat wary on my choice but decided to press on. On our arrival, which was slightly ahead of the 'book in' time,we were made very welcome and 'booked...

Overrated but will suffice for one night. Room not attractive, bathroom primitive, breakfast was the Best part of the overnight. Receptionist helpful. Easy walk to shops. Parking in front. Close to ferry connections. Be sure to book crossing when you get into Oban.

Checked into this place at 3 pm and checked out again at 3.20pm, the rooms were dark dingy and disgusting we were offered a sea view room instead which we went to view, this was slightly better as it was lighter but the crack was the width of the ceiling and the picture of the pillow was what we found...

I've only given it one star for its location,it's a hotel that is cleary outdated and in clear need of paint and decorative flair. I'd recommend staying somewhere else it's expensive and not even a B&B

was a bit dubious about booking due to reviews but thought we would give it a try anyway, the hotel is so outdated, the bedroom is tiny and for £74 wasnt worth it, the bed was rammed up against some old fashioned speaker system and the bed rattled against it everytime you moved, the bathroom was the smallest ive ever been...

Seeing this hotel pop up a few times I was a bit dubious with the mixed reviews! But with a last minute stay it was very welcoming! I travelled with my husband, two young boys (3 and 4) and our large puppy! Yes the place is in great need of a good refurbishment, but the room was warm, cosy and...

The location was lovely with fantastic views from the breakfast room and lounge/conservatory. Free parking on site but fairly limited at the front, extra to the rear. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel was clean but tired and dated. The hotel is very dated and bedrooms in much need of a refurb.

Great place with outstanding views over the Loch. Very friendly and helpful staff which is typical of the Scottish. Room was standard. Breakfast was plentiful. Didn't use the pool but did want to. Was almost staying an extra night!! We plan to return to Oban and back to the Lancaster ASAP! !

Thank Heather E
