We booked this on the Friday and arrived on the Saturday. The room was warm, clean and cosy. We were given information on where best to eat and the owner was informative and nice but not overpowering. We had a good breakfast in the morning and all facilities were spot on. We weren't rushed out the door at 10.00am, which...

Stayed there for a night, ahead of a ferry trip. Lack of parking meant I had to park five minutes away, and brave a rainstorm to get there. Owner very friendly and informative. The single room was OK, but ready for a refurbish (Mould on the blinds - yeuch.). Bed comfy, but overloaded with pillows and cushions (3+3!). It also...

Very nice room with good quality furnishings. Easy to find but a little bit out of town. Very happy with the experience, and the breakfast was great. On a hill and has great views of the Oban township below.

Thank you for taking time to review us and a positive review as well. We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us and hope that you enjoyed the rest of your stay in Scotland. Our guesthouse house is 0.6 of a mile from the centre of Oban and as the address states we are up a hill not in...

We got a form the evening before to fill in what we wanted for breakfast - a lot to choose from - even vegetarian haggis and sausages. There was a folder in the room with tourist information and Don Muir's environmental policy. Don't miss the wonderful view from Pulpit Hill viewpoint 5 minutes walk away.

Nice B&B in Oban although it is located in a small hill, a little far from the downtown. Lovely bedroom decoration but not very big. Good breakfast, it includes full scottish breakfast as well as fruit salad. Friendly host. It doesn't have private parking, however there is nearby a free public parking.

Really easy to find, great parking (free!) and easy, good stroll into town. Some great restaurant recommendations as well. Bed was uncomfortable and I had a terribly sore back after staying me, but maybe that's a reflection me rather than the bed! Room was big and then bathroom roomy and functional. Breakfasts were yummy, but it did feel like we...

Extremely sorry you didn't have a good nights sleep. All the beds were new this year and we haven't had a complaint yet..... can't please everyone with the beds. In what way were you being rushed ? We had 2 couples who wanted breakfast quickly as they were going for ferries so I apologise for the "rushed feeling" but when...

We spent three wonderful nights at the Don Muir Guest House and wished we could have stayed longer. Caroline and Darren were wonderful hosts, with that intangible quality that made them seem more like long-lost friends than simply "innkeepers". They really *care* about their guests. Caroline was very responsive and helpful when I first sent her an email inquiry with...

2 nights was not long enough in this welcoming bed and breakfast, Caroline and Darren were very friendly, made us feel very welcome, the room was plenty big enough, tea, coffee, biscuits, a fresh bottle of water everyday, comfy bed, TV, plenty of towels in the bath room, shampoo, body lotion, those little homely touches that make a difference. the room...

We arrived quite late, to be leaving early for a ferry the following morning. However, I wish we had more time to appreciate all that the room and the house had to offer. The room was spotless, attractive, comfortable and a good place to crash out. The owner was friendly, welcoming and helpful. We'd stay here again! Also......... the house...

A great stop over B and B if you're waiting to cross to the islands. Very friendly hosts and excellent service - the packed breakfast if you're sailing early is especially noteworthy. If you're staying more than a night the hill top location might grate, but there is a bus route until about 5 pm weekdays.
