We had a very comfortable room in The First House, which is just across the cat park. All the buildings are very old, but all was clean and modern in the bedrooms. Excellent WiFi considering the thickness of the walls. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. A very central hotel in the village.

This pub has really nice decor and the service was good. I was disappointed in the value for money of the food. My husband and son ordered the Fisherman's soup - £6.95 as a starter, £11.95 as a main. They opted to have it as a main. When it came, it was a medium sized bowl with one slice of...

Visited whilst on a day trip to the area . Love love love this place . Food was ok , I had the fish and chips ( fish was a bit soggy ) , hubby had the haggis which he enjoyed . The atmosphere and decor make this a lovely place to eat .

Visited the George as we knew it was dog friendly. Lunch was delicious, good quality pub food including steak pie, mussels and fish all served quickly and hot. The kitchen even made a vegan dish especially for my daughter. Lovely old hotel with log fires adding to the lovely warm atmosphere.

On our tour round the coast we popped in for some lunch and was unsure what to expect. We were not disappointed - the food was amazing and such a warm cozy bar area. The staff were so nice and chatted while serving - can't wait to return and stay for the night and get the full benefit

Visited on spec for dinner, bar packed but managed to get a table luckily. Food lovely, especially the langoustines on the specials board. Friendly staff, quick service, really enjoyed the evening, can't fault it.

Lovely food but visit marred by very poor service. Shown to table and then waited and waited....and waited. Family shown to table beside us and they managed to get attention of waitress to take order. When I asked if she could also take our order too as we had been here a while we were told 'in a second' and...
