From an initial enquiry with Ashley to the time we checked out we had a fabulous time. This is an Irish Country House with " Olde World" decor, charm and style, house and grounds are very historic. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful, especially Ashley and Brenda. We had a suite in the new part of...

For our 40th wedding anniversary our children treated us to a weekend in this hotel. They chose it because we could also take our collie dog. The staff did everything to make our stay a happy one, the food was delicious and the walks through the woods were greatly enjoyed by ourselves and the dog. The walks were also interesting...

My husband and I stayed here during a recent visit to Ireland and were kind of disappointed with it. While the Inn is steeped in history with it having been U.S. Marine headquarters during WWII and the fact that Ted Kennedy and President Clinton have stayed there, my husband and I were pretty disappointed. The staff was extremely nice but...

We had a beautiful experience at the Beechil for Sunday lunch. Could not fault food, staff or ambience. However at the beginning of our meal we were asked if we would like still water or sparkling water, so we opted for still water, at no stage did the waitress inform us that we would have been charged for our water....

While looking for a weekend away I happened across the secret escapes website that was promoting this gem of a hotel that I hadn't heard of until then. Situated only two miles from Londonderry/Derry it is the perfect location for sightseeing and also relaxing. We stayed in one of the standard rooms. A small number of things would have helped...

Gorgeous grounds made this country house incredibly welcoming. We selected the county house due to it's proximity to family, but were pleasantly surprised on arrival. Grounds are stunning - make sure you leave at least an hour to explore and take photographs, there are fantastic walking tracks. Breakfast was amongst the best of our time in Ireland. Room was clean,...

We were so surprised when we pulled in the drive and saw a country estate. We were warmly greeted at reception and provided with all the details to make our stay enjoyable. We had dinner in the the hotel dining room enjoying their early bird specials and the view of the grounds including a mill wheel. The food was incredible...

We stayed 1 night on our way back from ballyliffin spa and lough eske castle. Came into beechill house and a welcome like no other. An upgrade was given without even asking. Ashley I want to thank you for the tour and if you where at the front of some of the places we have been, well I'd go back...

We stayed one night in this fine hotel as we were in town for a birthday party. Quaint, distinctive and full of history it is a great spot if you want a hotel close enough to the city but away from the bustle. Our room boasted two windows with views across the lawns, a huge bed and was as clean...

We were at Beech Hill for two nights, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Beech Hill is the former home of one of the major players in the Irish judicial system. He had to sell the home during "The Troubles" because the British army concluded that there was no way to provide the necessary security - it is an old country...
