We arrived at the Morgan’s Hotel as you walk in to hotel. Your greeted by the large bar area which is nice.
The booking in was dealt with very lovely staff and to be honest all the staff were so helpful, friendly and polite.

No have not stayed on the ground floor. We have stayed in the Eagle in the Town house, which was on the top floor, so quiet, but no windows only a skylight, it was quiet, but we missed the window. Also stayed in the Ambassador in the main building, but this is situated on a corridor adjoining the restaurant, so not as quiet as flying cloud which as mentioned is situated opposite side. If Cambrian is below flying cloud it should be quiet.
